In recent years, in order to obtain prints from originals such as photographic film, there has been progress in automating the exposure and development of photographic paper, and automatic printing equipment that can print not only service size but also hand or major bill size has become available. It is put into practical use.

If such large-sized prints were automated using the same method as conventional small-sized automatic printing, a large amount of developer would be required, and if the developing paper used was roll paper, the roll paper would have to be used. In order to guide the roll paper through the developer tank, the first part of the roll paper was wasted as a leader part. Moreover, in order to drive this large-sized roll paper, there was a fear that the driving force of the device would be extremely large.

Also, due to the large area development, the developer deteriorates quickly.
There was also a risk that the developing state would change significantly between the beginning and end of the roll paper. Also, due to the large size, curling of the paper could cause a moderate amount of damage.

Briefly, the present invention includes a conveying means that holds and conveys photographic paper at least at one end thereof and is movable in forward and reverse directions in a circulation path bath, an exposure means that exposes an original image onto the photographic paper, and a plurality of processing tanks. The developing means is disposed below the conveying means, and the photographic paper held by the conveying means is developed by the developing means by switching forward and reverse movement of the conveying means. It is something to do.

The photographic paper P is stored in a cassette 7 of a photographic paper storage section located above the exposure section, taken out one by one from the storage section by a paper feed roller 8, and then transferred to a conveying means by the action of a paper feed roller 9. Sent. The conveying means is, for example, a belt 1 stretched in an endless manner.
0, a gripper 101 for holding the light end of the photographic paper is provided on the belt, and the photographic paper fed by the paper feed roller 9 is held by the gripper 101 and moved endlessly. The photographic paper is conveyed to the above-mentioned image forming position, and in order to prevent the photographic paper from curling at this image forming position and to improve the focusing accuracy, the photographic paper is moved to the side of the flat support plate 6 by a pressure bonding plate 11. Crimp. This pressure bonding plate 11 forms a transparent plate or a window so as not to prevent the light image from reaching the photographic paper.

The development process uses three solutions: a color developer, a bleach-fix solution, and a stabilizer, and each is followed by washing with water. 14 and washing tank 15, 16, 1
Seven water tanks are provided. In the case of other color development processes, the number of water tanks may be increased or decreased depending on the number of processing solutions. These water tanks are arranged below the conveyor belt 10 so as to be horizontally movable.

After exposure, the leading edge of the photographic paper P held by the gripper 101 reaches position A by the movement of the conveyor belt 10. At this position, the conveyor belt 10 stops, but the photographic paper P remains suspended in the color developer tank 1.
It will be located above 2. Since the conveyor belt 10 is arranged to move obliquely in this vicinity, the lower end of the photographic paper P is separated from the conveyor belt.

Next, the conveyor belt 10 is moved in the opposite direction, and when the gripper 101 reaches position B, where the gripper 101 is located approximately at the bottom of the conveyor belt, the conveyor belt 10 is stopped. At this position, the image forming surface of the photographic paper is completely immersed in the liquid in the liquid tank 12, and development proceeds. The developer in the liquid tank is pumped by a stirring pump 12.

After a predetermined period of time has elapsed, the conveyor belt 10 is moved in the forward direction, and the photographic paper P is moved to position A again. The surface of the photographic paper that has been lifted out of the solution has droplets attached to it, but as mentioned above, since the surface of the photographic paper is away from the conveyor belt, there is no risk of wetting the conveyor belt surface. The tank is also moved, and the washing liquid tank 15 is positioned directly below the photographic paper.

In addition, it is extremely effective to maintain the liquid temperature at an appropriate temperature in the development processing section. can do. Although it is possible to arrange each treatment liquid tank independently, as shown in the figure, each treatment liquid tank may be arranged adjacent to each other, or each treatment liquid tank may be placed in a hot water bath in a washing liquid tank. Configuration is also effective.

As described above in detail using the specific examples, in the apparatus of the present invention, since the printing of the original image is carried out in the same apparatus as the exposure and development, the processing time is quick and a stable image can be obtained. Moreover, it is an excellent device that allows image reproduction to be performed easily without requiring a specialized operator. Moreover, in the apparatus of the present invention, the photographic paper is conveyed by the conveying means and the developing process is performed, so the processing time can be arbitrarily selected, and image reproduction of each size can be well controlled. It is possible.
