BACKGROUND ART It is widely practiced to install a screen door together with a shoji inside a metal window frame, and when the shoji is opened, the opening is covered with the screen to prevent insects from entering the room. Such a screen door is configured to be movable within the window frame by engaging the edges of the upper and lower frames with screen rails formed on the outdoor side edges of the upper and lower frames constituting the window frame.

By the way, shoji screens that are used in combination with screen doors have traditionally been thin and flat, so when the screen door is moved to the edge of the window frame, the vertical frame of the screen door and the vertical frame of the window become large. It made contact quickly, and we were able to prevent insects from entering through this contact area. However, in recent years, shoji with double glass panels have come into use to save on heating and cooling costs and to provide soundproofing.

Of this type of shoji, the upper and lower stile that engage the upper and lower rails are the same thickness as conventional single-pane shoji, and only the middle part is thicker to accommodate double glazing. Although the width of the shoji can be configured as in the conventional case, the middle part, especially the outer shoji part, protrudes outward as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. 1st
- In Figure 2, 1 is the upper frame of the window, 2 is the lower frame, 3 is the outer shoji, 3a is the middle part of the window that protrudes outward, 3
b is an inner shoji screen with a middle portion 3c protruding toward the indoor side; 4
indicates a vertical frame against which the screen door 5 is brought into contact. In addition, there are cases where the glass remains single-layered and the thickness of the vertical frame 42 that makes up the shoji is increased in order to strengthen the shoji. In this case, the vertical frame 42 of the outer shoji 3 is made thicker as shown in FIG. , a protrusion 43 is formed toward the outdoor side.

In such a case, the screen door 5 must run outside the protruding middle part 3a of the outer shoji as shown in FIG. 1, or the protruding part 43 in FIG.
A locking piece 7 integrally protruding upward toward the indoor side from the upper stile 6 of the screen door along its entire length is engaged in the guide groove 8 of the upper frame 1, and formed integrally protruding toward the indoor side from the lower stile 9 over its entire length. The door roller 1 is attached to the lower surface of the extended portion 10.
1 is fixed, and the door roller 11 is placed on a guide rail 12 of a lower frame 2. In this way, in the case of a screen door in which the main body part protrudes to the outside of the room due to the locking piece 7 and the extension part 10, even if the screen door is brought into contact with the vertical frame 4 of the window, the width of the vertical frame is small, so the screen door A considerably large gap is created between 5 and the vertical frame 4, and insects can enter through this gap.
In order to close this gap, the width of the vertical frames 4 on the left and right sides may be made sufficiently wide, but this is not preferable because it may impair the harmony with the building and also requires extra materials and increases manufacturing costs. .

That is, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, among the inner and outer shojis housed in the window frame, the intermediate portion 3a of the shoji 3 on the outdoor side protrudes further toward the outdoor side than the upper frame 1 and the lower frame 2, A locking piece 7 formed integrally with the upper edge of the upper stile 6 of the screen door 5 toward the upper side of the room is engaged with the guide groove 8 of the upper frame 1, and a guide rail 12 of the lower frame 2 is engaged with the locking piece 7 formed integrally with the upper edge of the upper stile 6 of the screen door 5. Extending portion 1 integrally formed on the indoor side of the lower stile 9
A fixed door wheel 11 is placed on the lower surface of the screen 5, and the screen door 5 is movable closer to the outside than the middle part 3a of the shoji 3. Since the frame 4 (Fig. 2) is formed to have approximately the same width as the upper and lower frames 1 and 2, there is no space between the main body portion 5a of the screen door 5 and the vertical frame 4 of the window frame. Even when it collides with the vertical frame 4, a considerably large gap occurs. For this reason, it is conceivable to fix a closing plate 14 (FIG. 4) as shown in FIG. 2 to the end of the vertical stile 13 on the side where the gap is created.

That is, as shown in the example, the indoor side (right side in Figure 1,
In the case of a right-handed window where the screen door 5 is placed on the right side and the internal shoji 3b is opened to the left to ventilate the window when viewed from the bottom side of FIG. to be fixed. This closing plate 14 protrudes toward the indoor side over almost the entire length of the vertical stile 13, and is configured to close a gap 16 created between the vertical stile 13 and the vertical frame 4 when the screen door is closed. Furthermore,
Groove 17 formed on the indoor side edge of this closing plate 14
A sealing material 18 is fitted to the screen door 5, and when the screen door 5 is closed, this sealing material 18 comes into contact with the edge of the vertical frame 4 and completely closes the gap 16. On the other hand, a sealing material 18a is attached to the left stile 13 of the screen door 5 to close the gap between this stile 13 and the right stile of the outer shoji. The closing plate 14 is constructed by fitting the grooves 14a and 14b formed therein into the protrusions 13a and 13b formed on the vertical frame 13 of the screen door, and screwing the screw 15 into the intermediate wall 13c of the vertical frame 13 as shown in FIG. Even if it is connected to the vertical frame 13, the screw 1 screwed into the closing plate 14 as shown in FIG.
5 may be coupled by abutting against the intermediate wall 13c.

However, as mentioned above, the closing plate 14 is attached to the vertical stile 13.
Simply fixing the door will not completely prevent insects from entering the room. That is, when assembling each frame of the screen door 5, the left and right vertical frames 13,
13 is almost the same as the height of the screen door 5, and the end surfaces of the upper and lower frames 6 and 9 are in contact with the inner surfaces of the vertical frames 13 and 13, so the lengths of the upper and lower frames 6 and 9 are as follows. The total width of the screen door 5 is shorter than the total width of the left and right vertical frames 13, 13. For this reason, gaps are created in the four corners of the screen door in the direction shown by the arrows in FIG. 6 through which insects can pass. In other words, the vertical stile 1 on the left and right of the screen door
3 and 13 and the left and right vertical frames 4 are closed by the closing plate 14 as described above, but the upper frame 6
The gap between the upper frame 1 and the lower frame 1 is closed by a locking piece 7 integrally formed on the upper frame 6, and the gap between the lower frame 9 and the lower frame 2 is closed by a locking piece 7 integrally formed on the upper frame 6.
Since the gap is closed by an extension 10 formed integrally with the lower stile 9, the upper and lower frames 6 and 9 are not the full width of the screen door 5, but are shorter than that, as shown in FIG. Then, gaps are created at both left and right ends of the upper and lower sides of the screen door 5. For example, between the lower frame 9 and the lower frame 2,
A gap 19, 19 (FIG. 2) is formed in a portion separated from the extension portion 10. Further, although not shown, a similar gap is created between the upper stile 6 and the upper frame 1 at the portion where the locking piece 7 is removed.

The screen door of the present invention closes the gap 16 between the vertical stile 13 and the vertical frame 4 of the screen door with the closing plate 14, and also closes the gap in the four corners described above, completely preventing insects from entering the room. It was made possible to prevent it.

Note that since the vertical stile 13 that makes up the screen door is made of the same material on both the left and right sides, the closing plate 14 can be attached to the vertical stile on either side. It can be installed not only for right-handed windows such as , but also for left-handed windows where the screen door is placed on the left side, and this installation work can be easily done on site depending on the hand of the screen door. Can be done. In the illustrated example, each closing block 20, 27 has two grooves 2, respectively.
4, 30 are formed, and rubber plates 36, 39 are fixed in each groove.
It is sufficient to provide at least one block 39 for each of the closing blocks 20 and 27 that are fixed to the vertical stile 13 of the screen door facing the vertical stile of the outer shoji when the shoji is opened and the screen door is closed. However, there are grooves 2 in both of the blocking blocks 20 and 27 attached to the vertical frames on the left and right sides of the screen door.
By providing at least one rubber plate 4, 30, and one rubber plate 36, 39, it is only necessary to change the mounting position of the closing plate 14 according to the right side of the screen door. Further, the two protrusions 25 and 28 formed on each blocking block 20 and 27 are only for preventing the rotation of each block 20 and 27, and only one is sufficient, and furthermore, other means can be used to prevent the rotation. If you can achieve this, you can promote or omit it. Furthermore, since the first closing block 20 fixed to the upper end of the vertical stile 13 also serves as a sliding piece that comes into sliding contact with the inner surface of the guide groove 8 of the upper frame 1, it is desirable to make it from a material that is easy to rub.
