Abstract

PURPOSE:To make finishing satisfactory by enclosing at least the upper surface of an asphalt sheet with a synthetic resin sheet so as to be placed on the panel sheet of a vehicle body whereby fusing the asphalt sheet on the body by heat from a hot air furnace used for painting. CONSTITUTION:Asphalt, extender pigment, process oil, plasticizer and the like are adequately mixed and kneaded so as to be spread into an asphalt sheet 1 in a sheet form whereby the whole surface of it is enclosed with a general purpose polyethylene sheet 2 which is superior in acid resistance and alkali resistance, thereby sealing its surrounding while being thermally deposited for preventing foreign objects such as water and the like from breaking in. And said asphalt sheet 1 is placed on a vehicle body 3 in a sheet metal work process, after than, the body 3 is forwarded into a painting process to receive electro-deposition coating and the like. In this case, each sheet 1 and 2 is melted by heat from a hot air furnace which is used to bake paint coated by the electro-deposit coating for hot setting, thereby fusing the asphalt sheet 1 on the body 3.

分であるプロセスオイルあるいは可塑剤を増量してアス
ファルトシートを柔軟にするとともに、天井等の取り付
けが完了せず搬入が容易な板金工程の途中においてアス
ファルトシートの貼付けが行なわれてる。

リエチレンシート2により被覆して密封したので、塗装
工程においてアスファルトシート表面に抽出されるプロ
セスオイルや可塑斉りが電着塗装処理の際に電着塗料中
に分散、混入虻るのを防止できる。従ってボデー一般面
にはじき等の欠陥を生じるがことなく、塗装面が良好に
仕上がった。

スファルトシート1をボデー3「;融着させても先の第
1実施例と同様に塗装工程においてプロセスオイルや可
塑剤が分散し塗装面に悪影響を与えることはなかった。

オイルや可塑剤が塗装工程において電着塗料中に分散あ
るいは懸濁、混入する恐れがない。従って塗装面の仕上
がりが良好となるとともに厚み、面積の大きいアスファ
ルトシートを車両ボデーに敷き詰めて防振、防音効果を
者しく高めることが可能となる。また塗装工程における
焼付処理時の熱を利用して融着rるので工程が簡略化さ
れコストの低減が図れる。さらに従来、作業性向上のた
めタルク等の離型剤をアスファルトシートに塗布してい
たが、本発明によればアスファルトシートを合成CI脂
レシート包むため、かがる離型剤が不要となり作業$囲
気の改善とともにボデー塗装面に離型剤粒子が付着し塗
装面を汚すことがない。
