【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明はバルブリフタにおけるバルブロツドの
頂部と当接される端部の着座面を仕上加工する方
法に関する。

後小径砥石により研削する式を一般としたもの
で、かゝるものでは作業に相当の時間を必要と
し、非能率であるを免れない。従来かゝる不都合
を無くすべくバニシングツールによりバニシング
加工する式のものは提案されたが、かゝるもので
はその加工に際し肉が中心部に流れて該中心部に
凸部を発生し、これは精度機能上好ましくない不
都合を伴う。

本発明はかゝる不都合のない方法を提供するこ
とをその目的としたもので、バルブリフタの端部
の着座面を仕上加工する方法において、該仕上加
工をバニシングツールによるバニシング加工によ
り行わせるようにすると共に該加工に先立ち着座
面の中心部に肉の逃げを許容する凹部を形成させ
ることを特徴とする。

れ、次でこれに仕上加工が施されるものである。
第6図においてbは該ロツドaの外周のガイド、
cは該バルブリフタ1の上面のタペツトシム、d
はその上面の動弁カムを示す。

ンプ手段fにより固定した状態に用意し、これに
その上側からバニシングヘツドgの先端の傾斜す
るバニシングツールhを作用させる。該ヘツドg
はその上方にのびる主軸iにおいて廻転と上下の
送り運動とを与えられるもので、この点は公知の
ものと特に異らない。かくて該ツールhによるバ
ニシング加工によれば該着座面2は所定の仕上加
工を施されるが、そのまゝでは該面2の上面は例
えば第4図示のように肉の流れによりその中心部
に例えば10〜20μ程度の高さの凸部jを生じ、こ
れは好ましくない。

くその加工に先立ち第2図に明示するようにその
中心部に予め凹部3を形成させる。この凹部3は
次で前記したバニシング加工に際し肉の逃げを許
容するもので、着座面2は例えば第3図示のよう
に多少とも丸味を有する仕上面に作られるが、こ
の際該凹部3は仝図示のようにその中心部に多少
とも凹入して残されるものとする。その1例とし
てはバルブリフタ1の材質を(低炭素鋼)とする
と共に、着座面2の面積を30mm2、凹部3の面積を
0.8mm2とするもので、これにバニシング加工を施
したとき、面粗度は20Sから0.8〜3Sに向上し
た。この場合バニシング量を0.05〜0.1mm、バニ
シング圧力を800〜1000Kg、作業時間を2秒とし
た。

着座面には予め中心部に凹部が形成されるもので
肉の流れがこれに吸収されて中心部に凸部を生ず
るようなことがなく、機能上の不都合がない等の
効果を有する。
