Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain a communication with a remote side just through a hook-off state both in a calling mode and a called mode with a remote side, by detecting a signal showing a hook state. CONSTITUTION:A control part 18 transmits a deformed EOM signal in place of an EOM signal in a facsimile communication mode owing to a fact that a telephone set 11 is hooked off before the transmission timing of the message end signal at a calling side. While the telephone set 11 is hooked off before the transmission timing of the message confirm tion signal at the terminating side, the deformed MCF signal is transmitted in place of the MCF signal. Furthermore the control part 18 of a terminal that received the modified EOM or MCF signal holds a circuit 13 at a transmission/reception circuit 12 for the prescribed period of time even after the end of the facsimile communication. The telephone call is continued while the circuit 13 is held and then discontinued when the hook-off signal is outputted to the part 18 from the telephone set 11. At the same time, the circuit 13 is switched to the telephone set 11 from the circuit 12.

Conventional technology Conventionally, when this type of device receives a telephone ringing signal, it automatically starts facsimile operation (receiving or transmitting) within a short period of time when the ringing ring may or may not ring, so telephone calls are not normally used. There wasn't. Therefore, the calling party did not expect the other party to accept the call from the beginning, and after hearing a response signal from the called party, often pressed the start button of the Facun Milli, hooked on, and left the place. This is usually done because there is little need to talk after facsimile communication, but also because it is not possible to talk to the person on the other end of facsimile communication even if one wanted to do so.

In this device, the line is connected to the telephone set 2 through the line switching circuit 3 during a call state. In this state, you can talk if you are hooked off. However, during facsimile communication, the line is connected to control unit 1, and telephone 2 is disconnected from the line, so when the line is switched to telephone 2 after facsimile communication, telephone 2 is in a hook-on state and immediately releases the DC loop. Because the line would be disconnected, it was not possible to make a call after sending a fax using the method described above.

During facsimile communication, the calling side is hooked off before the message end signal (EOM signal) is sent, so it sends a modified EOM signal instead of the EOM signal, and the called side sends a modified EOM signal instead of the EOM signal. Message confirmation signal (
By being hooked off before the transmission timing of the MCF signal, a modified MCF signal is transmitted in place of the MCF signal. The terminal that receives the modified EOM signal or modified MCF signal holds the line on the 7-ac 7-mm side for a predetermined period of time even after the facsimile communication procedure is completed, continues to make telephone calls during this hold, and then sends a hook-off signal from the telephone. When output to the control unit, the telephone call is stopped and the line is switched from the facsimile side to the telephone side.

When this modified EOM signal is detected on the called side, if the called side telephone 11 is hooked on, it sends out a normal MCF signal, and at the same time starts a timer with a predetermined time limit set. The calling side call notification circuit 16 is activated via the control unit 18 to call a person. At this time, the line switching circuit 14 still connects the line 13 to the transmitting/receiving circuit 12.
The line 13 is on hold because it is connected to. Furthermore, since the calling terminal is hooked off, the line 13 is switched to the telephone 11 side after the MCF signal is detected. While the called party is being called in this manner, the transmitting/receiving circuit 12 of the calling party may play, for example, a synthesized voice or a music box sound to make it clear that a telephone call is being made.

Further, if the calling side starts the facsimile and then hooks on, a normal EOM signal is sent out at the end of the image signal, and the called side detects this signal with the control signal detection circuit 17. At this time, if the called party is also hook-on,
A normal MCF signal is returned and the line 13 is immediately returned to the telephone 11 side, and the line 13 is opened. However, as shown in FIG. 2 (bl), if you want to call the calling party while the called party is receiving a call, you can hook off the telephone 11. If so, the control unit 18 on the called side detects the EOM signal and sends the MC
When transmitting the F signal, it is checked whether or not the hook-off signal of the telephone 11 is being input, and if the hook-off signal is being input, the modified MCF signal configured as described above is transmitted. For the hooked-on caller, this variant M
When the CF signal is received, the call notification circuit 16 is activated to make a telephone call in the same manner as when the modified EOM signal is received. If the telephone 11 on the calling side is hooked off during this telephone call, the control section 18 detects this, stops the operation of the call notification circuit 16, and returns the line 13 to the telephone 11 side to enable the telephone conversation.

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the above explanation, when it is desired to call the other party, a hook-off detection signal is input to the facsimile control unit, and upon detection, the hook-off detection signal is detected and transformed into the EOM signal and MCF signal. EOM signal or modified M
A CF signal is sent, the other party detects the signal, and announces a telephone call while the line is held on the facsimile side.
When the terminal on the called side is hooked off, the hookoff is detected and the line is returned to the telephone side, so that a call can be made by simply hooking off without providing a telephone call button on the control unit.

(1) During facsimile communication using a facsimile device equipped with a telephone that outputs a signal indicating the hook state to the control unit,
On the calling side, EO is detected because the caller is hooked off before the end of message signal (EOM signal) is sent.
A modified EOM signal is sent instead of the M signal, and since the called side is hooked off before the message confirmation signal (MCF signal) is sent, a modified MCF signal is sent instead of the MCF signal. The terminal that has received the modified EOM signal or modified MCF signal holds the line on the facsimile side for a predetermined period of time even after the facsimile communication procedure is completed, continues to make telephone calls using the telephone call notification means during this hold, and a signal indicating hook-off is sent to the telephone. 1. A telephone calling method for facsimile communication, characterized in that the telephone call is stopped when an output is output from the facsimile, and the line is switched from the facsimile side to the telephone side.
