Abstract

PURPOSE:To quickly answer an emergency call by providing a silent state detecting circuit and having an automatic recovery processing in case the silent state still lasts even when the fixed period of time passed after an automatic answer is given to an incoming call. CONSTITUTION:When a silent call is received, an automatic off-hook circuit 1 works after detecting the call signals three times to secure a state to the off-hook state of a telephone. Then the voices telling the speaker's name are delivered from a voice generating circuit 2. While a remote-side voice detecting circuit 3 monitors the voices of the remote side. At the same time, it is detected that the remote side first has an off-hook mode. Thus a busy tone detecting circuit 4 monitors the busy tone. A silence detecting circuit 5 works if no voice is received from the remote side for about 15 seconds and the circuit 2 delivers voices telling 'The telephone is disconnected because no answer is received for 15 seconds'. Then a telephone disconnecting circuit 6 works to disconnect the telephone.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] 3. Detailed Description of the Invention [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention is an automated telephone system that automatically detects and performs recovery processing on "silent calls," which is one type of "harassment phone calls." Relating to response devices.

Conventionally, automatic telephone answering devices of this type include answering machines and announcement machines. The former has the advantage that the victim does not have to answer the phone, as there is no way to detect silent calls, and calls are unconditionally recorded on tape and the phone calls are automatically processed, but the victim does not have to answer the phone. The drawback is that sometimes when an emergency call arrives, it cannot be identified. In addition, the latter also has no means of detecting silent calls and answers incoming calls unconditionally and makes an announcement, so although the victim has the advantage of not having to answer silent calls, it is not necessary. The disadvantage is that they cannot answer telephone calls.

(a) When a silent call is received: When the automatic off-hook circuit 1 detects a ringing signal three times, it operates and enters the same state as when the telephone receiver is off-hook. Next, the voice generation circuit 2 sends out a voice saying "It's XX." Next, the other party's voice detection circuit 3 monitors the other party's voice.

At the same time, the busy tone detection circuit 4 monitors the busy tone in order to detect that the other party disconnects first. If there is no voice from the other party for about 15 seconds (the length of time can be changed), the silence detection circuit 5 will operate and the voice output circuit 2 will send a message saying "We have waited 15 seconds. There is no response, so I will hang up.'' a voice is sent. Thereafter, the telephone disconnection circuit 6 disconnects this telephone call. However, if the other party hangs up first, a busy tone is transmitted, which is detected by the busy tone detection circuit 4 and the telephone disconnection circuit 6 hangs up the call.

以上一連の動作中は電話機のベルは鳴動しない。The telephone bell does not ring during the above series of operations.

(b) In the case of a normal call: The process is the same as in the case of the silent call in (a) above, up to the point where the voice generating circuit 2 sends out the voice "This is XX." Next, since there is a voice from the other party, the other party's voice detection circuit 3 detects this voice, and the voice generating device 2 sends out a voice saying "Please wait a moment."

Next, the ringing signal circuit 7 is activated to ring the bell of the telephone 8. When the telephone 8 is answered, the telephone switching circuit 9 is activated and it becomes possible to talk to the other party in the same way as with a standard telephone.

The circuit of the present invention may be provided as an additional device of a telephone;
It goes without saying that it can be provided as an internal circuit of a telephone or an internal circuit of a switchboard.
