(Prior art and problems to be solved by the invention) Natural marble is used not only as a building material but also in various other fields because its surface is polished to reveal a deep pattern and has excellent decorative properties. However, it is expensive due to the small amount of production. Therefore, in recent years, it has been widely practiced to obtain artificial marble that has an appearance similar to natural marble by incorporating fillers into acrylic resin or unsaturated polyester resin, but such conventional artificial marble has a pattern pattern. However, it was monotonous and lacked a sense of reality, and its uses were limited.

In view of the current situation, the present invention aims to provide artificial marble with a more realistic appearance and to expand its use, such as use as a high-quality interior material.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The artificial marble of the present invention has a liquid resin binder of 20 to 60% by weight, preferably 25 to 3% by weight, based on the total amount of the mixture.
5% by weight, 40-80% by weight of white inorganic filler fine powder, preferably 60-70% by weight, and 0.1 mica fine particles.
-10% by weight, preferably 2-6% by weight, and this mixture is polymerized in the presence of an organic peroxide.

The liquid resin binder is an acrylic resin syrup or an unsaturated polyester resin, which has a transparency that gives depth to the appearance of the resulting artificial marble and a viscosity suitable for casting.

The fine powder of the white non-alpha filler is essential for giving the resulting artificial marble a deep whitish appearance similar to that of natural marble, and its whiteness is 80 or higher and the refractive index is 80 or higher. The ratio is 1.55 to 1.55, which is close to that of the resin binder.
It is about 65. Note that the best depth can be obtained when the particle size of the fine powder of the white non-la-la filler is in the range of 5 to 40 microns.

The blending ratio of the resin binder and the blending ratio of the white inorganic filler are <20 to 60% by weight and 40 to 8% by weight, respectively, as described above.
0% by weight, but the blending ratio of the resin binder is 20% by weight.
If the blending ratio of the white inorganic filler exceeds 80% by weight, the viscosity of the composition will increase, making it difficult to obtain a uniform composition, making it difficult to mold, as well as impairing the appearance and physical properties (especially This is because the molded product will not have good impact resistance).

On the other hand, if the proportion of the resin binder exceeds 60% by weight, or if the proportion of the white inorganic filler is less than 40% by weight, the white inorganic filler and mica will settle, resulting in an appearance and physical appearance similar to natural marble. This is because the molded product will not have good physical properties.

In addition, there are two types of phlogopite: light brown and dark green. The fine pieces of mica used in the present invention are fine pieces of mica with a flake diameter of about 50 μm to 200 μm or less. The refractive index is about 1.55 to 1.58, which is close to the refractive index of the resin binder. The fine pieces of mica are
Because it has good affinity with the liquid resin binder mentioned above,
In the resulting artificial marble, the mica particles are uniformly dispersed, and since the mica fine particles have a thin plate shape due to the crystal structure of mica, their arrangement is irregular. The blending ratio of the mica is 0.1 to 10% by weight, and 0.1% by weight.
If it is less than that, the mica will have poor texture and it will be difficult to obtain a molded product with a deep appearance. On the other hand, 10% by weight
If it exceeds this value, the pattern created by mica becomes intense, making it difficult to obtain a molded product exhibiting a rich spotted color pattern in a three-dimensional window.

As a result of uniformly containing fine powder of white inorganic filler and fine pieces of mica, the product exhibits a deep whitish appearance similar to natural marble, and the arrangement of fine mica pieces in artificial marble. Since the mica particles have an irregular state and the mica fine particles have the above-mentioned unique color, their appearance exhibits a speckled colored pattern with a rich three-dimensional effect due to the diffused reflection of light.

Therefore, the artificial marble of the present invention has a realistic appearance that closely resembles natural marble, and can be used as a high-quality interior material. , its uses will be significantly expanded. In addition, the artificial marble of the present invention can be used as a counter,
Even if it is used on surfaces that are easily scratched and dirtied, such as tables, the appearance of artificial marble exhibits a three-dimensional spotted color pattern as described above, so it will not be scratched or dirtied easily. It also has the effect of being less noticeable.
