Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the printing of good quality, by a method wherein the charging device charging recording media is established on the side of the feed path for recording media, a set of a nozzle and an electrode is established on the opposite side of the charging device across the recording media, and conductive ink is filled between the nozzle and the electrode. CONSTITUTION:If voltage in a pulse form is impressed to an electrode 5, the charge equivalent thereto is injected into conductive ink 4 and the reverse charge to the charge of the ink 4 has been injected with a charging device 1. Therefore, the ink 4 is attracted and an ink drop is formed from the hole 3a of a nozzle 3, flies to the recording media 2 to print a record. By such a structure, the recorder is miniaturized and good printing quality can be guaran teed without generation of the clogging due to pressure variation and the clog ging due to air mixing in the nozzle part.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] The former recording method using a photoreceptor has disadvantages such as a complicated device and lack of reliability. Another disadvantage is that the developing device and thus the apparatus become large in size because powdered toner as a recording agent is attached to the circumferential surface of the magnetic 1-1-ru and this is adsorbed onto the recording medium IJ to perform recording.

In the latter type of inkjet recording, clogging may occur due to vibration caused by the pressure of the piezo vibrator, or air may enter the nozzle due to vibration of the nozzle.
There were problems such as 1 jamming, and there was an important drawback in reliability.

In FIG. 1, a charger 1 for charging a recording medium 2 is installed on one side of a conveyance path 8 on which the recording medium travels, and a nozzle 3
A power-saving recording head 6 consisting of a pair of a charger 1 and an electrode 5 facing the nozzle 3 is installed on the opposite side of the charger 1 and the recording medium 2. A conductive liquid ink 4 is filled between the nozzle 3 and the electrode 5, and the electrode 5 is connected to a power source 7 that generates a pulsed voltage.

In the embodiment, when a pulse voltage is applied to the electrode 5 of the conductive ink 4, a charge corresponding to the applied voltage is injected into the recording medium 2, and a charge opposite to the charge of the ink 4 is applied to the charger. Since the ink 4 is injected by the electric charge of the recording medium, ink droplets are formed from the holes 3a of the nozzle 3, and are splashed onto the recording medium 2 to be recorded.
