Abstract

PURPOSE:To recover dispersed toner to prevent the periphery of the titled device from being dirtied by switching a route for exhausting air around a cleaner and connecting an air flow at the time of discharging developer to the switched route. CONSTITUTION:A discharge cover 23 on the bottom of a developing device 4 is opened and the developer A is dropped along a guide K and stored in a container 26. Although air around the cleaner 9 or a fixing device is exhausted by blower 29, a cleaning system is not driven at the time of replacing the developer. At the discharge of the developer, a shutter 28 is opened to recover toner dispersed at the time of discharge, so that the periphery can be prevented from being dirtied.

FIG. 1 is a diagram showing the principle of the present invention. At the bottom of the developing device 4, there is a developer discharge lid 23 for discharging the developer A. According to the present invention, an air flow path using an air flow by a blower 29 for sucking toner generated by the cleaner 9 that cleans the photosensitive drum 1 and gas generated by the fixing device is provided at the developer discharge port. It is placed in the device housing 25 near C.

This is because the developer A attached to the developing roller 12 is removed by the scraper 40 when the developer A is discharged.
This is because the magnetic brush will rub against the same location on the photosensitive drum 1, which is not rotating, and the drum will be damaged.

At the bottom of the developing device 4, there is a developer discharge lid 23 that closes the developer A discharge port C. The developer discharge lid 23 and the discharge lever 24 are connected. ), and by opening the developer discharge lid 23, the developer A falls onto the developer discharge guide and is stored in the container 26. At this time, the toner is 1. The developer is scattered and floating in the developer discharge path E. In order to suck in this scattered toner air, the air flow from the cleaning system and fixing system using the existing blower is used inside the device housing near the developer outlet C, and the air flow is routed through a thick passage. is provided so as to enclose the developer discharge path E. Further, a shutter 30 is provided to block the passageway from the developer discharge path E. In other words, since the entire printer is stopped when replacing the developer, the cleaning system etc. are not operating, and there is no problem even if the suction power etc. decreases, so the shutter 30 is opened and the blower 29 is operated. Just let it happen. 31 is a rotating shaft of the shutter 30, and 32 is a gasket. Note that the internal structure of the developing device 4 is the same as the conventional one, so a description thereof will be omitted.

Figure 3 shows the above air flow, and Figure 4 shows the sea fence when the shutter opens and closes. During normal printing of the printer, the air in the cleaner 9 and fixing device 7 is discharged by the blower 29 through filters 31 and 32, as shown in FIG. At this time, the shutter 30 is closed, but the developer 4 is lowered by the cam, and the developer discharge lid 23 is opened by the discharge lever 24.
The detection switch 'r detects that the discharge lid 23 is opened, and the shutter 30 is opened. Further, in order to facilitate discharge at this time, the configuration is such that the turning on of the stirring roller 11 and the developing roller 12 and the turning on of the blower 29 are synchronized.
