Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce friction load to paper by platen as well as to prevent any slippage of a printing position and damage to a paper feeding hole from occurring, by mounting a push tractor in a spot just under the platen, in case of a paper feeding mechanism for a special printer. CONSTITUTION:A sheet of paper 2 is set to a push tractor 1 being mounted vertically in a spot just under a platen 4. After setting, a paper detecting sensor in the inner part of this push tractor 1 works, a transfer mechanism also operates, and the set paper 2 passes through between the push tractor 1 and a paper guide 3, thus it is fed up to a pressure roller 6 through an interval between the platen 4 and a printing mechanism part 5. Under this state, the paper 2 is continuously fed by action of the pressure roller 6 or the like while performing proper printing to the paper 2 set up on a peripheral surface of the platen 4 at the printing mechanism part 5. Thus, since the push tractor 4 is mounted in spot just under the platen 4 amidst the printing, friction load to the paper 2 by the platen 4 is reducible, so that stable running of the paper is made performable.

[Prior Art] Conventionally, in a push tractor-type paper feeding mechanism of this type of serial printer, a push tractor 1 is provided behind a platen 4 as shown in FIG. Form 2 in cooperation with the organization
It was designed to send. The paper 2 set on the push tractor 1 is inserted between the platen 4 and the vapor guide 3 by a transmission mechanism, and is sent out along the paper guide 3 to the front upper part of the platen 4. During printing by the printing mechanism section 5, the paper 2 is fed by pressing the pressure roller 6 provided on the front part of the platen 4 against the platen 4 side and pulling up the paper 2.

[Problems to be Solved] In the conventional push tractor type paper feeding mechanism described above, since the paper 2 is set behind the platen 4 by the push tractor 1, the angle at which the paper 2 wraps around the platen 4 is large. Since there is a large contact area between the paper 2 and the platen 4, there is a disadvantage that a load is applied to the paper 2 during paper feeding, causing variations in paper feeding accuracy, resulting in misalignment of the printing position and damage to the paper feeding holes. Ta.

[Means for Solving Problems] In order to solve the above-mentioned conventional problems, the present invention has a push tractor vertically mounted directly below the platen in the paper feeding mechanism of the printer, so that the platen can move the paper during printing. The present invention provides a paper feeding mechanism for a printer characterized by reducing frictional load.

Reference numeral 1 denotes a push tractor, which is placed directly below the platen 4. A paper 2 is supplied to the peripheral surface of the platen 4 by a push tractor l. Reference numeral 3 denotes a paper guide, which is disposed opposite to the push tractor 1 and ensures a feeding path for the paper 2 by the push tractor 1. Reference numeral 5 denotes a printing mechanism section 5, which is opposed to the circumferential surface of the platen 4, and performs appropriate printing on an appropriate area of the paper 2 located on the circumferential surface of the platen 4 in response to an appropriate printing signal.

In the push tractor type paper feeding mechanism of the present invention, first, paper 2 is set on push tractor 1 mounted vertically below platen 4. After setting, the paper detection sensor (not shown) inside the push tractor l operates, the transmission mechanism operates, and the set paper 2 is transferred to the push tractor 1.
The paper passes between the paper guide 3 and the platen 4 and the printing mechanism section 5, and then is sent to the pressure roller 6.

[Effects of the Invention] As explained above, in the present invention, by mounting the push tractor directly under the platen, the winding angle of the paper becomes smaller, so that the paper feeding load during paper feeding can be reduced. This has the effect of stabilizing paper feeding and preventing misalignment of printing positions and damage to paper feeding holes.
