いる。<Prior Art> A method for branching an optical conductor in which the optical fiber core wire is easily branched using an optical fiber cable formed such that the optical fiber core wire can be pulled out has already been proposed (Japanese Patent Application No. 57-9).
No. 1085), the optical fiber cable used in such a branching method has a structure in which a plurality of optical fiber core wires are respectively inserted into pipes made of synthetic resin and covered with an outer jacket. To branch an optical fiber core from such an optical fiber cable, first remove the jacket and cut the optical fiber core to be branched at a position away from the branch point by at least an extra long bone for connection work. Then, the jacket at the branch point is removed, and the cut optical fiber core wire is pulled out from there and branched.

It is also conceivable to use such an optical fiber cable and pull out each optical fiber unit. However, in conventional optical fiber cables of this kind, there is no play between the spiral groove and the optical fiber unit, so when trying to pull out the optical fiber unit of the length required for branching work, there is resistance when pulling out the optical fiber unit. There is a problem in that the size of the material becomes extremely large, making it difficult to pull out the material.

The outer sheath 2 is, for example, a plastic tube, and a rod-shaped plastic spacer 3 is inserted through the outer sheath 2 so as to be in pressure contact with the inner surface thereof. A reinforcing wire 3' is provided at the center of this spacer 3. The outer surface of the spacer 3 is provided with four spiral grooves 5 extending in the axial direction and having constant intervals between them.゛Inside this spiral groove 5, there is housed an optical fiber unit 4, which has one reinforcing wire (tensile member) 6 in the center and six fiber core wires 7 around the reinforcing wire 6, which are also bundled in a spiral shape. ing.

is loosely attached to the Furthermore, although not shown, a lubricant is present between the optical fiber unit 4 and the spiral groove 5. As this lubricant, for example, silicone oil or talc is used. Such a lubricant is applied in advance to the spiral groove 5 of the spacer 3 or to the surface of the optical fiber unit 4 to be attached, so that the lubricant is applied between the optical fiber unit 4 and the spiral groove 5. can be easily intervened. Of course, a lubricant may be applied to both the optical fiber unit 4 and the spiral groove 5.

The outer sheath 2 at a predetermined location where the branch is about to be branched is removed. Furthermore, the outer sheath 2 is removed from the branch point by the extra connection length, and the optical fiber unit 4 used for branching is cut at that point. Then, the cut optical fiber unit 4 is pulled out from the optical fiber cable l at the branching point and branched. At this time, the optical fiber unit 4 is loosely attached to the spiral groove 5, and since lubricant is present between the optical fiber unit 4 and the spiral groove 5, the cut optical fiber unit 4 can be pulled out with a relatively small force.
