Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately grasp the life of a process unit to perform maintenance and control by providing a medium, on which is recorded information on the use of a consumable member and a transfer member for image formation, in the process unit and reading out the use information. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic recording medium is provided in the end part of a photosensitive drum 1, and a read/write head 2 is allowed to face it. Write data from a control part 6 is sent to the head 2 through a data write part 4. The rotation number of the photosensitive drum 1 is read out from the head 2, and data is sent to the control part through a read part 5. The characteristic of the photosensitive drum 1 is written in write data. 命に関係なく複数のプロセスユニットを頻繁に交換して
使用する場合などには上記の測定によって各プロセスユ
ニットの寿命を判定することは実用的でないという欠点
がある。
