Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify unbolting and bolting by coupling the small end of a connecting rod to a piston pin with common bolts to reduce the number of bolts to be used. CONSTITUTION:The threaded portion 42a of a bolt 42 inserted in common through inserting holes 43, 56 is threadably attached to a tapped hole 47 formed downward on the mounting surface 32a of a piston pin 16. A nut 60 is threadably attached to the other threaded portion 42b of the bolt 42 on the lower side of the small end 51 of a connecting rod. Thus the bolt 42 fixes the said small end 51 to the piston pin 16 through a spacing piece 17. Therefore the number of the bolts to be used can be reduced to simplify unbolting and bolting in carrying out maintenance.
