Although it has excellent water permeability and air permeability, it has low strength and is easily crushed into powder even with simple stirring or handling.
The disadvantage is that it has a low specific gravity and floats on water. Attempts have also been made to color perlite, but simple coloring poses a problem in that the coloring agent dissolves into water and harms plants.

However, it is foamed several times to several tens of times, and is commercially available from Toho Perlite Kogyo Co., Ltd. and Nippon Perlite Kogyo Co., Ltd. Among these commercially available materials, those preferred for the purposes of the present invention have a particle size of about 2 to 20 mm and a bulk specific gravity of about
It is 0.1Kg/~0.5Kg/.

red iron oxide, yellow iron oxide, ultramarine, chromium oxide green, cobalt blue, etc.), thickeners (e.g., hydroxyethyl cellulose, methyl cellulose, etc.), and film-forming aids (e.g., butyl glycol, carbitol, etc.) as necessary. , dispersant, synthetic resin emulsion, etc., in an appropriate ratio,
It is dissolved or dispersed in water.

Obtained by drying. During this coating operation, problems such as uniformity of coating and adhesion between particles can be solved by adding various aggregates such as kansui stone powder or pearlite powder. In the present invention, the specific gravity of the pearlite particles increases due to the above coating, but the specific gravity of the particles after coating is approximately 0.3Kg/~0.5Kg/
It is preferable to use colored inorganic paints in proportions such that:

中に溶出するという問題も生じない。 The colored artificial soil of the present invention obtained as described above has its surface coated with a hard colored layer, so the strength of the particles themselves is significantly improved and can withstand normal mixing and stirring action. Furthermore, it has been found that the colored layer thus formed has sufficient air permeability, water permeability, and drainage properties. In addition, since the specific gravity of the particles is significantly higher than that of the original pearlite particles, they sink into water and stabilize in a short time. Furthermore, since the colored pigment is fixed in the colored layer, there is no problem of it eluting into water.
