Situations such as insufficient water supplies occur during the summer dry season. Washing water accounts for a considerable amount of water used in a typical household, and housewives have expressed a desire to conserve this water. By the way, our research on rinsing revealed that about 80% of households rinse with running water, and the average rinsing time is about 9 minutes. When rinsing is performed while running water, most of the water in the washing water is rinsing water. Furthermore, when considering the rinsing time from the perspective of detergent components remaining on the clothes, it is known that rinsing time of about 5 minutes is sufficient under conditions that are considered standard, and if the rinsing time is too long, water There have also been reports that the iron contained in clothing adheres to clothing and accelerates yellowing of clothing. 2) The general consumer's guideline for rinsing completion is based on the amount of foaming during rinsing, how well the liquid spreads, and the time, but based on these factors, it is possible to shorten the rinsing time to a reasonable level by suppressing foaming during rinsing. It seems to be.
すすぎ時間が短縮されれば、必然的にすすぎ水が節約さ

このような点からすすぎ性に優れた洗剤が消費者のニー

A method of blending a mono-long chain alkyl quaternary ammonium halide as a method for improving the rinsing properties of detergents containing α-sulfo fatty acid ester salts and zeolite (No.
JP-A No. 59-4693) was known. However, the effect of improving the rinsing properties of these detergents is still insufficient, and the detergent disclosed in JP-A-59-4693 has the disadvantage that detergent particles tend to cake.

It is a hydrophobic group, and the molecular shape is elongated and asymmetrical. Crystals of these substances grow in the direction of their molecular chains and in the direction in which the molecular chains are arranged in parallel. In the X-ray diffraction pattern of such a crystal, diffraction lines originating from repeating units in the molecular chain direction are obtained in the long surface region, and diffraction lines originating from repeating units in the cross section of the molecular chain are obtained in the short surface region. By specifying the degree of crystal growth in the molecular chain direction and the degree of crystal growth in the cross-sectional direction of the molecular chain, quaternary ammonium salt particles having an excellent rinsability improving effect can be obtained. This requires the ratio (1) of the first-order diffraction peak intensity (1) of the long-plane spacing to the maximum peak intensity (n) of the short-plane spacing determined by X-ray diffraction of a di-long-chain alkyl quaternary ammonium salt.
/ (II) must be 2.0 or less.

If the amount exceeds 5% by weight, a complex is formed with the anionic activator, resulting in a decrease in detergency. Preferably it is in the range of 1 to 3% by weight. Furthermore, it is desirable that the particle size of the quaternary ammonium salt particles is in the range of 300 to 50 microns. If it is more than 300μ, insoluble substances will be generated during washing,
It remains undesirable on clothing. In addition, if it is less than 50μ, sufficient rinsing improvement effect cannot be obtained.
