【考案の詳細な説明】 本考案は、第1図、第2図及び第3図に示すよ
うに内燃機関におけるシリンダヘツド1の上面に
複数本のボルト2,2の締結によつてシリンダヘ
ツドカバー3を取付ける場合において、シリンダ
ヘツド1とシリンダヘツドカバー3との間にその
周囲を囲う略矩形環状のガスケツト4を介挿して
シールする装置に関するものである。

部4b′を挾み付けるようにすれば、シリンダヘツ
ド1とシリンダヘツドカバー3との金属接触はな
くなり、金属接触時における騒音の発生及び振動
の伝達を防止できる反面、シリンダヘツド1の上
面に対して広い面積で接触するのでシールが低い
ばかりか、リツプ部4b′は両者間に相当締め付け
られた状態の下で熱負荷の繰り返しと締め付け力
の変化を受けるので老化及びへたりを生じ易く、
当該リツプ部に老化及びへたりを生じるとガスケ
ツトのシール性は極端に低下するから、新品との
交換をしなければならず耐久性が低いのであつ
た。

におけるガスケツトの締め付けが低下するのであ

より小さい寸法の厚さで横方向に延びる薄肉偏平
状のリツプ部を、当該リツプ部の上面が前記シリ
ンダヘツドカバーの下面に密接する高さ位置に一
体的に設けたことにある。

4aのシリンダヘツドカバー3における下面3′
からの突出高さ寸法hよりも小さい寸法の厚さt
にした薄肉偏平状に形成して、、このリツプ部4
bを、その上面が前記シリンダヘツド3の下面
3′に密接する高さ位置に設ける。

第に高くなるようにしたり、ガスケツト4におけ
る本体部分4aの巾寸法を、ボルトから遠くなる
につれて次第に大きくなるようにすることによつ
ても解決でき、更にこれら組み合せ、すなわち本
体部分の高さ及び巾寸法の両方を、ボルトから遠
くなるにつれて次第に大きくすることによつても
解決できる。また、この際にリツプ部をガスケツ
ト全周、或いは、締め付け用ボルトに近い部分に
だけ設けるようにしても良いことはいうまでもな
い。
