(Problems to be solved by conventional techniques and ideas) Plate glasses such as window glasses and mirrors have relatively high strength in the plane direction, but low strength in the direction perpendicular to the plane. For this reason, it is easy to break, damage, etc., and in the case of large glass, if a break occurs, it is extremely dangerous to surrounding workers and passersby, and sufficient care must be taken in handling it in advance.

By the way, when storing glass plates, normally, in order to avoid cracking due to their own weight, the glass plates are not stacked vertically, but rather are propped up horizontally using a specified support jig such as a stand. Especially in the case of large plate glass, it is naturally required in consideration of ease of handling.

FIG. 5 shows a standing stand called a "horse" which has been commonly used in the past in order to satisfy the above requirements. This figure shows a front view, and FIG. 6 shows a side view of the plate glass in a state in which it is actually propped up. To be more specific, reference numeral 50 is a stand which is composed of a placing part 52 on which the plate glass 51 is placed and a standing part 53 for leaning and supporting it. Each part, for example, has a framework made up of plates made of iron, hard synthetic resin, etc.
A sheet 54 made of rubber, soft synthetic resin, etc. that protects the lower side of the glass plate is affixed to the mounting surface of 2, and a sheet 55 is similarly affixed to the leaning surface of the leaning portion 53 to protect the glass surface. In addition, the mounting surface and the leaning surface are configured as inclined surfaces so that the plate glass 51 can be tilted slightly rearward and leaned against in a stable state. Also, depending on the size of the glass plate, there are multiple pins 56 on which ropes can be hung to securely hold the glass plate.

However, at actual construction sites, it is not uncommon to transport many different types of plate glass at the same time.
When it is desired to take out a glass plate placed in the middle from a stand as shown in the figure, it would be extremely convenient if the glass plate placed outside the stand could be temporarily placed on another stand. This also applies to checking for incorrect deliveries, inspecting damage during transportation, etc. In such cases, as mentioned above, conventional props cannot be used because they are difficult to carry. Currently, we are forced to use the primitive method of arranging wood as cushioning material near the walls of buildings, etc., which not only fails to protect plate glass, but also makes it more likely to tip over in the wind if only a few sheets are propped up. If the flatness of the stand is uneven, there is a risk of damage due to its own weight due to twisting. Therefore, a large amount of man-hours are required for arranging and holding the cushion material and for fixing the plate glass, and careful consideration must also be given to the relationship with surrounding workers and passersby. Furthermore, cleaning up after the work is completed cannot be neglected.

The present invention is a revolutionary plate glass support jig that meets these demands and is small, lightweight, and easily portable. It also supports plate glass reliably even when it is propped up, and prevents the plate glass from falling over due to wind pressure. The purpose is to provide the following. In other words, as mentioned above, the smaller the number of plate glass stands, the greater the risk of tipping over, but this can be prevented by using appropriate feet.Even if the legs themselves do not have lateral rigidity, the in-plane rigidity of the glass plate itself compensates for this. The aim of the present invention is to integrate the two and to obtain the planar symmetry necessary for holding the glass plate.

First, the structure of the plate glass support jig according to the present invention will be explained. In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1 denotes a support jig for plate glass, which is composed of at least a pair of supports 2 and 3 spaced apart from each other in the left and right directions. It is desirable that the supports 2 and 3 are constructed symmetrically. In addition, the support tool 2 will be explained below for convenience of explanation. The support 2 has, for example, an elongated support base 4 made by cutting a pipe member with a rectangular cross section to a predetermined length, and block feet 5, 5 are welded to the front and rear ends of the lower surface of the support base 4, and A central portion of an auxiliary stand 6 in the form of an elongated plate, whose both ends are bent downward to correspond to the thickness of the block feet 5, is pivotally attached to the central portion.
As shown in FIG. 2, this pivoting method involves inserting a pin 7 with a threaded tip at the tip from below into a play hole drilled in the center of the auxiliary base 6, and screwing this pin 7 onto the lower surface of the support base 4. etc. By forming the width of the auxiliary stand 6 to be the same as or less than the width of the support stand 4, the auxiliary stand 6 can be crossed with respect to the support stand 4 when in use, that is, when the support 2 is to be erected. On the other hand, when not in use, the auxiliary stand 6 can be stored in the support stand 4 by overlapping them as shown in FIG. 3. As described above, the plate glass support jig of the present invention can stand up on its own, so it does not require any auxiliary means such as a crane, and can be used anywhere, whether indoors or outdoors.

On the other hand, a support column 9 inclined at a predetermined angle in the longitudinal direction of the support base 4 is erected at a predetermined position on the upper surface of the support base 4, in the embodiment at a position slightly forward of the center, by, for example, welding its lower end. This support column 9 is formed by cutting the same pipe member as the support base 4 into a predetermined length. Incidentally, the angle of inclination is set so as to stably and reliably support the glass plate 8 to be propped up, so that it is slightly inclined backward. A reinforcing rim 11 is welded to the rear side of the joint 10 between the support column 9 and the support base 4, and the top surface of the support base 4 on the front side of the joint 10 is a plate glass made of, for example, urethane rubber. A protective elastic sheet 12 is attached to form a support section for the lower side of the glass plate 8. Note that an elastic sheet 13 similar to the elastic sheet 12 is attached to the front surface of the support column 9 to protect the glass plate surface (see FIG. 2).

On the other hand, one side of the upper part of the support column 9 is provided with a pair of support plates 14 and 15 separated by a predetermined width above and below, one piece of which is bent into an L-shape, for example, and welded to the side surface of the support column 9. A locking rod 16 is inserted into the hole drilled in the support plates 14 and 15, and the locking rod 16 is slidable in the longitudinal direction of the support column 9, and is attached to each support plate 14 and 15. It is said that it can be rotated freely.

Further, as clearly shown in FIG. 3, a bar 17 perpendicular to the lower surface of the support plate 15 is welded to the front outer side of the lower surface of the support plate 15, and a locking bar 17a is bent rearward in the middle. By forming the L-shaped stopper 18. Therefore, by lifting the lever 16d with it facing rearward (the state shown in FIG. 2) and raising it above the stopper 18, and then rotating the lever 16d sideways, the lever 16d will be It is locked onto the locking bar 17a to prevent it from falling.

Then, as shown in FIG. 2, the required number of glass plates 8 are successively placed on the upper surface of the support stand 4 and the support column 9, and when this is completed, the stopper 18 is released by rotating the lever 16d backward. If the lever 16d is slowly lowered, the locking part 16c will lock onto the upper part of the glass plate 8, and the glass plate 8 will not come off from the supports 2 and 3 even if an external force such as wind pressure is applied. It is held securely without any problems.
