Generally, flat cables are made by extruding resin around the outer periphery of juxtaposed electric wires to form a flat cable, or by placing films or tapes on both sides of juxtaposed electric wires to make them stick together. For this reason, the flat cable main body and the electric wire are closely attached and cannot be moved with respect to each other, and when connecting, it is necessary to cut and strip the electric wire at the terminal end one by one.

Therefore, this invention eliminates the above conventional drawbacks,
The purpose is to provide a flat cable that is convenient for wiring work. Therefore, according to this invention, a plurality of covered electric wires are arranged parallel to each other while maintaining intervals, and one film is arranged flat along the plurality of covered electric wires so as to minimize the contact points with the electric wires. , and the other film, which holds the plurality of covered electric wires between the two films, is arranged in a wave shape so as to surround the outer periphery of the electric wires, is bonded to the one film, and has intermittent protrusions on at least the joint surface side thereof. A flat cable is formed by the film. By forming it in this way, the contact area between each coated wire and the film becomes small, so that it can be moved longitudinally with respect to the flat cable body, and any coated wire can be easily pulled out from the terminal part, etc. This eliminates the need for wire cutting strips at the terminals of flat cables, and each coated wire can be sandwiched between one flat film and surrounded by the other film. Since the other film side of the flat cable main body has grooves formed between adjacent covered wires along the longitudinal direction, when branching wiring to multiple locations, it is very easy to branch at the grooves. Furthermore, since each covered electric wire has an insulating coating, there is no need to perform insulating treatment upon connection, so the wiring time is extremely shortened. Moreover, according to this invention, the coated wire can be drawn out from the terminal portion of the flat cable and co-wired to the terminal equipment, which is convenient.

In order to improve the sliding of the covered wire, the covered wire should be a fluororesin coated wire, and braided fibers should be provided as intermittent protrusions on the joint surface side of the other film, or fibers should be provided in a direction that intersects each covered wire. In this case, each covered wire is sandwiched between one film arranged flatly so as to minimize the number of points of contact with the covered wire, and the other film arranged in a waveform to surround the outer periphery of the covered wire. Because of the low friction of the insulated wire and the reduced contact area, each covered wire can be moved with an extremely small force, which not only improves terminal processing but also makes it possible to Flexibility is also greatly improved, which is advantageous.

In addition, in this invention, if at least one film and the other film are provided with cutout windows that intersect with the covered wire intermittently along the longitudinal direction of the cable, any covered wire can be pulled out at any point on the cable. This is advantageous because it can be used as is for connection wiring without any insulation treatment.

FIG. 1 is a partial end view of a flat cable 1 according to this invention. This flat cable 1 has a coated wire 3 provided with a fluororesin coated wire 2 sandwiched between one flat film 4 and the other film 5 arranged in a waveform so as to surround the outer periphery of the wire 3. It is formed by

Here, one of the films 4 may be a resin film such as a polyester film, or a paper or other film. The other film 5 arranged in a waveform surrounding each electric wire 3 is provided with intermittent protrusions on the side where it joins with the other film 4. For example, nylon fibers are laminated inside the polyester film 6. A braided fiber 7 which is braided with irregularities formed in a knitted shape is provided, and this braided fiber 7 can be used as an intermittent protrusion. In addition, it is also possible to arrange fibers in a zigzag or meandering manner on one side of a polyester film, for example, and use the fibers as intermittent protrusions on the joint surface side to form the other film. Since the one film 4 and the other film 5 can be bonded by adhesive, heat fusion, stitching, or other means, the production thereof is extremely simple.

According to the flat cable 1 of this invention formed in this way, the contact area between the other film 5 and the covered wire 3 is small, and the covered wire 3 is surrounded, so that the covered wire 3 is flat. The cable 1 can freely move only in the longitudinal direction with respect to the main body, and the distance between each covered wire 3 is maintained at a predetermined distance. Therefore, flat cable 1
The processing of the terminal section becomes extremely easy.

In order to allow the covered wire 3 to move sufficiently in this way, in the embodiment shown in FIG. The other film 5, which has a smaller contact area, is arranged in a waveform so as to surround the outer periphery of the covered wire 3, thereby reducing the contact area between them.

Further, according to this invention, since the covered wire 3 can move freely, the flat cable 1 can be moved freely as shown in FIG.
As shown in the figure, one end of the covered wire 3 is arbitrarily pulled out and connected to devices 8, 9, and 10, respectively, and all the covered wires 3 are connected to the other end of the flat cable 1.
It is possible to connect the connector all at once by cutting the cable at the position indicated by the triangle mark in the figure, for example, where the cables are aligned, making it convenient to process both ends of the cable. Cable wiring is therefore extremely easy.

FIG. 3 shows another embodiment according to this invention, in which the film 15 on both sides of the flat cable 11 is
Cutout windows 13 and 14 that intersect with the covered wire 12 are provided intermittently along the longitudinal direction of the cable 11 on at least one side of the cable. As a result, any covered wire 12 can be cut into convenient cutout windows 13, 14.
The necessary connections can be made by partially or completely pulling out one end. in this case,
Since each covered wire 12 is coated with an insulating coating, there is no need to perform any particular insulation treatment, which is convenient for wiring work.

As described above, according to this invention, one flat film and the other film having intermittent protrusions on the joint surface side of the one film are placed on both sides of a plurality of covered electric wires arranged parallel to each other at intervals. By arranging the film in a corrugated manner so as to surround each coated wire, each coated wire can easily move in the longitudinal direction relative to the flat cable body without using a lubricant such as silicone oil. Further, due to the presence of the groove between the adjacent covered wires on the other film side, branching is easy, and as a result, the connection wiring at both end portions of the cable is extremely simplified. Moreover, it is not only easy to manufacture, but also has excellent flexibility because each coated wire can be moved with a small force, and its practical effects are extremely large.
