Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable an ink to be transferred uniformly and without forming voids even when printing on a rough paper, by forming a surface printing layer from a specified material and with a specified roughness. CONSTITUTION:A blanket 1 comprises a surface printing layer 2 formed of a rubber composition, a fibrous support layer 3 consisting of a plain weave fabric and disposed beneath the printing layer 2, a porous compressible layer 4, and three fibrous support layers 5, 6, 7 disposed beneath the compressible layer 4. For example, the surface printing layer is formed from an oil-resistant elastic material having a JIS hardness of 20-40, in a flexible state with a ten-point average surface roughness of 2-15mum. With this construction, it is possible to sufficiently transfer an ink uniformly and without forming voids, even when printing on a rough paper such as a craft paper.

In order to achieve the above object, the printing offset blanket of the present invention includes a surface printing layer and one or more support layers with or without a porous compressible layer on the lower surface of the surface printing layer. An offset blanket for printing formed by laminating layers, wherein the surface printing layer has a JIS hardness of 20 to 4.
The 10-point average roughness of the surface is 2 due to the oil-resistant elastic material of o.
It is characterized by being a flexible elastic layer formed such that Jll is 11 to 15 um.

The present inventor conducted a printing test using the above-mentioned conventional blanket, and found that the phenomenon of printing unevenness or zero leveling occurs frequently on rough surface paper such as kraft paper, especially when printing solid areas. In order to eliminate the drawbacks, we found that the surface rubber should be made softer than conventional blankets.

The JIS hardness of the surface rubber of conventional blankets is 50 to 6.
0, whereas in the present invention, the JIS of the surface printing layer
Hardness is 20-40. If a surface rubber in this range of hardness is used, the ink transferred from the plate to the blanket will be sufficiently pushed into the uneven parts of the rough surface of the kraft paper.
Ink is transferred evenly.

On the other hand, foamed material, microscopic glass beads, thermoplastic synthetic resin microcapsules, plastic foam, or cork microparticles are mixed between the surface printing layer and the support layer or between a plurality of the support layers. A rubber composition or a material mixed with soluble fine particles such as salts and dissolved out with a solvent or the like is used as the porous compressible layer. The support layer is made of cotton cloth or synthetic fibers such as polyester and rayon.
In addition to the ta reinforcing cloth, it is made of a non-extensible or less extensible and flexible material such as a plastic sheet or a thin metal plate, and if necessary, one WI or multiple layers of support may be used. This support layer then prevents undesirable longitudinal and widthwise stretching of the entire blanket.

As described above, the printing offset blanket of the present invention has a surface printing layer conforming to the JISv standard. ! The oil-resistant elastic material with a degree of strength of 20 to 40 is used to flexibly form the surface with a 10-point average roughness of 2 I1 m or more to 15 am, so printing on rough paper such as kraft paper can also be done without uneven ink adhesion. You can do it well without injuring yourself.
