Abstract

PURPOSE:To raise the operation rate of a plasma cutting device by assembling and preparing in advance machine parts of a nozzle, and replacing automatically new and old nozzles. CONSTITUTION:When removing a nozzle 2 which has been consumed or damaged, from a torch, an attaching/detaching lever 11 is pushed up to the nozzle 2 of the tip of the torch, and by giving a rotation to a nozzle fitting screw, the nozzle 2 is removed and made to descend. Subsequently, the nozzle 2 is placed temporarily in a nozzle holder 7, a spare nozzle is stopped right above an attaching/detaching lever 10, pushed up to a fitting position by the attaching/ detaching lever 10, and new and old nozzles are replaced by giving a rotation to the fitting screw. In this way, the nozzle can be attached and detached in a short time and also automatically, and the operation rate of a plasma cutting device is raised.

[Detailed description of the invention] <Industrial field of application> Commonly known as a plasma cutting machine using a plasma cutting torch as a processing tool <Prior art> A plasma cutting machine equipped with a plasma cutting torch is a well-known technology, but it is difficult to perform cutting work. As a result, the electrode wears out and in severe cases is damaged, and the electrode often needs to be replaced.Although high-speed cutting performance, which is several times faster than gas cutting, is complicated by the time and trouble required to replace the electrode. Ru. Increasing the durability of electrodes is the most promising, but is considered extremely difficult with current technology and materials. A method for facilitating electrode replacement has been filed in Japanese Patent Application No. 60-242629, and a method for detecting electrode life has been filed in Japanese Patent Application No. 60-163972.

<Means for solving the problem> As shown in Japanese Patent Application No. 60-163972, the use of plasma electrodes is due to changes in the arc current value between the electrode and the machine to be cut, or the cutting is dominated by wear. This can be known by managing the coefficient of the number of piercings at the starting point of cutting the material.

<Function> According to the method of the present invention, when replacing the electrode inside the crater, it is freed from the trouble of having to remove the parts that make up the exterior of the crater and then reassembling the components of the crater after replacing the electrode.
The nozzle can be attached to and removed from the head of the plasma torch with a single touch, and the downtime of the cutting machine can be shortened by storing a nozzle with a new electrode installed in advance as a spare. Furthermore, by simplifying the attachment/detachment mechanism of the attachment/detachment part so that attachment/detachment is performed automatically, unmanned operation of the plasma cutting machine is also possible.

Reference numerals 10 to 12 are examples of a crater exchange mechanism, and 10 is a frame for attaching and detaching the crater. When attaching and detaching, rotational movement is provided by the rotation mechanism shown at 11, and vertical movement is provided by the up and down mechanism shown at 12. To describe the function of this mechanism in detail, when removing a worn out or damaged crater from the torch, push the removable frame 11 up to the crater 2 at the tip of the torch, rotate the crater mounting screw, remove the crater, and lower it. It is possible to replace the old and new craters by stopping the preliminary crater in the holder directly above the removable frame, pushing it up to the mounting position by the removable frame, and applying rotation to the mounting screw.
