In order to protect structures such as steel sheet piles, corrosion prevention work is already known in which the ebb and flow and splash areas of the structure are covered with F.R.P. covers, and the spaces between the two are filled with mortar and solidified. At this time, the problem is the seal between the lower end of the cover and the structure, and various means have been employed heretofore. Among these, the easiest to install is the type in which a water-reactive or water-absorbing seal is pasted on the inner surface of the lower end of the cover (for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 56-100912).
issue). When immersed in seawater, it absorbs moisture and expands, automatically sealing between the bottom edge of the cover and the structure. "Aquatite" (trade name) is an example of a material with excellent properties, but this material has the disadvantage of being expensive. For this reason, construction workers are requesting that improvements be made so that they can use inexpensive urethane foam. However, the urethane foam has a drawback that the pressure at the time of foaming is large, and the sealing member may peel off and float.

の実施例を詳述していく。 The present invention has been made to overcome this drawback, and aims to provide a seal structure that can be used even with inexpensive foam materials. Embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

The size of the mesh or pores of the fibers 4 is such that air and seawater can pass therethrough and the sealing member 3 cannot be scattered when expanded. The fibers 4 are attached in advance to the inner surface of the lower end of the cover 2 together with the sealing member 3.
Therefore, when the seal member 3 is immersed in the sea, it expands as shown in FIG. 2, but the seal member 3 is pressed against the steel pipe support 1 without peeling or scattering. In other words, seawater passes through the mesh of the fibers 4 to the sealing member 3.
The gas generated during foaming is conversely discharged to the outside through the mesh.
以上のように、本考案のシール構造によれば、

Even inexpensive materials such as urethane foam can be used as the sealing member without any problems.
