Conventional waterproof shoes have upper parts that are made by applying a thick layer of rubber or synthetic resin glue between the upper outer fabric and the upper lining fabric and laminating them into a single piece, or by laminating the upper outer fabric and the upper lining fabric together. A rubber or synthetic resin sheet sandwiched in between and laminated together is used, and soft polyvinyl chloride sheets, leather, synthetic leather, etc. are also used as the upper member.

All of these instep members require cutting and sewing to make a flat sheet into a three-dimensional foot-shaped shape. For example, as shown in Figures 1 to 3,
Toe cloth 1, the instep sheet pasted as above,
After cutting the front instep 2, back instep 3, sili cloth 4, and moon-shaped 5 shapes and sewing them in the shape of the instep to form the instep 6, the insole 7, insole 8, and outsole 9 are attached. A method of manufacturing waterproof shoes using water is widely used.

The above-mentioned upper sheets themselves are completely waterproof and do not allow water to pass through, but when these upper sheets are sewn together to form the upper of short shoes or boots, water leaks through the stitches and threads of the sewing machine at the seam. Water will enter from the outside and the waterproofness will be incomplete. In order to prevent this water from seeping in, rubber glue is applied to the seams or rubber or synthetic resin tape is attached to the back side, but water seeps through the fibers of the upper outer fabric, the sewing threads, and the upper lining fabric. It is impossible to completely prevent water.

Furthermore, in areas other than the seams of the upper, as shown in Figure 2, the lower end of the upper 6 is suspended between the outsole 9 and the midsole 7, so that the fibers of the upper surface fabric are There is a risk that water may enter the inside of the shoe through the gap in the suspension, through the upper lining fabric, and into the inside of the shoe. In order to prevent this water from seeping in, a method is used in which a wrapping tape 10 made of a sheet of rubber or synthetic resin is pasted along the joint between the upper and the outsole. Since the wrapping tape 10 is attached to the outer surface of the upper fabric, there are disadvantages in that the design of the shoe is restricted, the weight of the shoe increases, and it is not comfortable to wear.

The waterproof shoes of the present invention are made by laminating a waterproof sheet made of rubber or a synthetic resin sheet to a plurality of upper material pieces made of water-permeable materials such as woven or knitted fabrics sewn in advance to the shape of the upper part of the shoe. These waterproof shoes are made by joining a formed upper part and a sole part.

Next, the content of the present invention will be explained in detail with reference to the drawings. FIG. 4 is a longitudinal cross-sectional view of an example of waterproof shoes of the present invention.
Figure 5 is an enlarged sectional view of the heel, and Figure 6 is B-B.
FIG. 1 is the toe cloth, 2 is the front instep, 3 is the back instep, and 4 is the siri cloth. The upper cover 6 is formed by sewing in the shape of the upper part. Reference numeral 11 denotes a waterproof sheet made of rubber or synthetic resin that is laminated to the inside of the upper 6 that has been sewn in advance. Tarpaulin sheet pieces may be pasted together. As the waterproof sheet, a sheet of synthetic resin such as natural rubber, synthetic rubber, or urethane can be used. When an unvulcanized natural rubber or synthetic rubber sheet is used as a waterproof sheet, it is highly flexible and can be easily transformed into the three-dimensional shape of the instep and adhered to the sewn instep. The entire shoe can be molded and then vulcanized to become a durable waterproof sheet.

The toe part and heel part are reinforced by pasting a toe cap rubber 12 and a moon-shaped rubber 5 between the upper cover 6 and the waterproof sheet 11. A thin woven fabric, knitted cloth, or the like may be attached to the inner surface of the waterproof sheet 11 that contacts the feet. The bottom part is the same as conventional waterproof shoes, with inner sole 7 and inner core 8.
and an outsole 9, and the lower edge of the upper part, where the sewn upper 6 and the waterproof sheet 11 are pasted, is hung between the insole 7 and the outsole 9 and bonded. The edge 13 of the waterproof sheet 11 is slightly wider than the edge 14 of the hanging part of the upper 6, and the part of the waterproof sheet 11 that protrudes from the upper 6 is directly and airtightly adhered to the outsole. There is no risk of water intruding between the waterproof sheet 9 and the waterproof sheet 11.

The upper of the present invention can be made of woven fabric, knitted fabric, or other water-permeable sheet material. After sewing these instep materials together, a waterproof sheet is attached to the back side to achieve complete waterproofness. or,
As materials for the midsole and outsole, known waterproof sole materials such as natural rubber, synthetic rubber, and elastic synthetic resins such as polyurethane can be used.

In the waterproof shoes of the present invention, the waterproof sheet may be attached to the entire inner surface of the upper, or may be attached only from the entire circumference of the lower bottom of the upper to the periphery of the bottom. Furthermore, by adjusting the thickness and hardness of the waterproof sheet, the strength and fit of the product can be adjusted as appropriate.

According to the waterproof shoes of the present invention, after the instep outer fabric is sewn into the shape of the instep, a waterproof sheet is attached to the back side, so there is no risk of water seeping through the sewing stitches.
Furthermore, by directly bonding the waterproof sheet and the outsole, complete waterproofness can be obtained without water seepage through the gap. Since no thick glue layer or rubber sheet is interposed between the upper outer fabric and the upper lining fabric, sewing and bonding operations are facilitated. Since there is no need to attach waterproof wrapping tape, it is possible to freely design the shoes.
Excellent effects such as making the shoes lighter and making them more comfortable to wear are exhibited.
