【考案の詳細な説明】 本考案は自動車のラジエータフアンを覆うラジ
エータフアンシユラウドに関する。

自動車用のフアンシユラウドaは第1図に示す
ようにエンジンbとラジエータc間に介在させて
ラジエータフアンdを覆いかつラジエータcとラ
ジエータフアンdのすき間をなくすることによつ
て冷却効果の向上をはかり保護カバーの役目を果
すものである。このフアンシユラウドaを取付け
る場合はエンジンb、ラジエータc及びラジエー
タフアンdは既に固定されているから、第2図に
示すように一端にヒンジ部eを介して上下に2分
割され分割面の数個所を係止爪fと係止孔gで係
合するようにしたものが用いられていた。一端を
ヒンジ部eとするのは周囲に配置された機器によ
つて一端は係合操作が困難なためである。そして
このようなフアンシユラウドaを合成樹脂で一体
成型する場合は、分割面に係止爪fが突出される
ため第3図に示すように一端にヒンジ部eを残し
て係止爪fが成型出来る程度に分割体a′,a′間を
拡開して成型する必要がありフアンシユラウドa
自体に比べて大きな金型hを必要とすることにな
り不経済であつた。又ヒンジ部eにヒンジ力をも
たせるために成型直後のフアンシユラウドaのヒ
ンジ部eを数回折り曲げる作業をするが、フアン
シユラウドa自体がかなり大型であるため作業性
が悪いという欠点もあつた。

端面には前記ヒンジ部4の内側にヒンジ部4作動
用空間部を形成する切欠段部10,10が形成さ
れている。更に分割体2,2の分割面3,3には
適当間隔で一方に係合鈎11が突設され、他方に
この係合鈎11が係合する係合孔12が形成され

閉するものが成型時にヒンジ部分から左右に或程
度開いて傾斜した状態で成型するため金型を大き
くする必要があるのに比べて第4図に示すように
金型を小さくすることが出来、又分割体を別々に
成型すれば金型を1/2にし成型機を小型化するこ
とが出来る。又、大型のフアンシユラウド本体が
2分割されているため収納、輸送等にも便利であ
る。更に、一方の分割体の分割面の一端より突片
を突設しこの突片に他方の分割体の被係合部に係
合する係合部を形成するとともに一対の分割体の
接合面に位置するヒンジ部を形成したから、エン
ジンルームにおいてラジエータへの取付けに際し
ては、予め一方の分割体の突片の係合部を他方の
分割体の被係合部に係合させておくことによりそ
のヒンジ部分が一対の分割体の接合面の一端に位
置してヒンジ作用をするから狭い作業空間におけ
る取付作業が容易となり、一対の分割体に別部材
のヒンジ部材をねじ等を用いて取付ける必要がな
いから部材数を少くでき、別部材のヒンジ部材を
双方の分割体にねじ止めするという手間を省くこ
ともできる。さらにヒンジ部は係合部を形成する
突片の一部を肉薄にするだけでよいから、ヒンジ
部の形成のために成型用金型の構造を複雑化する
ようなことがない。又ヒンジ部を形成する場合、
成型後ヒンジ部を繰返し折り曲げてその部分の分
子配列を整えてヒンジ力を保たせる折り曲げ作業
をする必要があるが、この場合一方の分割体より
突設されたヒンジ部を有する突片を把持してヒン
ジ部の折り曲げ動作をすれば良いから作業性が良
く、従来のようにヒンジ部分で一体に連結された
フアンシユラウド本体の大型の左右片を把持して
折り曲げ動作をするような必要がない。
