害物の検知表示を可能とすることによつて、車両
が前進している場合または停車している場合でも
後方障害物の情報を与えることができる車両用後
方障害物表示装置を提供することを目的とするも
のである。以下本発明を図に示す実施例について
説明する。第1図は本発明の第1実施例を示すブ
ロツク図である。この第1図において、超音波の
送受信を行なう超音波振動子を用いた送受波器1
と、この超音波送受波器1を励振する励振回路2
aおよび超音波送受波器1の受信信号を処理演算
し障害物までの距離を検出する演算装置2bを含
む距離検出ユニツト2と、この距離検出ユニツト
2の出力信号に応じて距離表示(可視表示あるい
は警報による表示)を行なう表示器3と、トラン
スミツシヨンと連動しギヤ位置が後退の時閉成さ
れもつて後退表示灯5bを点灯させるバツクスイ
ツチ5a又は、ブレーキペダルと連動しブレーキ
ペダルが踏まれた時閉成しもつて制動灯6bを点
灯させる制動検知スイツチ6aが閉成された時、
前記超音波送受波器1、距離検出ユニツト2、表
示器3に所定の電源を供給する電源部4より構成
される。7はキースイツチ、8は車載のバツテリ
である。これより明らかなように電源としては後
退表示灯5b又は制動灯6bの電源線を共用する
事となる。なお電源部4の入力線は第1図に示す
ようにダイオード4a及び4bにて結ばれており
後退及び制動のいずれの場合にも本装置に電源を
供給する事が出来るような構成となつている。
