Abstract

PURPOSE:To read the white surface of a drive roller when the width of an original is narrower than the reading width and to read regions at the outside of the original as a white level by using an LED illumination light source and fitting the light source to the opposite side to the roller shaft position with a sensor read shaft. 稿外の部分では85図に示す通り、LED照明光源から
出た光の主成分は実線の経路で原稿駆動ローラー(6)
に反射するので、第4図に示す原稿面での光の経路と大
きくはなれてしまい、(4)の集束性ファイバ導光系に
入る、反射光成分が減少して、原稿駆動ローラーの表面
の白色が読み取れず、原稿外を1黒ヨと読み取ってしま
うなどの問題点があった。
