ナーパネルと、サイドシルアウターパネルを最中
状に合せて溶着する部分に、補強パネルを挟ん
で、補強パネルも一体に溶着して強度アツプを図
る。この場合、サイドシル部分が長かつたり、中
央にセンターピラーがあつて前後に長くサイドシ
ルがある場合には、補強パネルの板厚さを厚くす

る補強パネル6の前後端部には、その上下両端縁
間に外側方に突出する打出し部8を設ける。そし
て、この打出し部8をサイドシルアウターパネル
5の内面に溶着する。その場合、サイドボデーア
ウターパネル9も重ね合せて溶着する。また、こ
の位置では補強パネル6の上端縁は車体内板すな
わちガイドシルインナーパネル4またはサイドボ
デーインナーパネルに溶着し、下端縁はサイドシ
ルの中間部と同様にサイドシルインナーパネル4
およびサイドシルインナーパネル5間に挟持す

ターパネルの重合部に溶着し、上記補強パネルの
上端縁部を車体内板に溶着し、さらに下端縁部を
サイドシルインナーパネルおよびサイドシルアウ
ターパネル間に挟持させたので、補強パネルの前
後側部とサイドシルアウターパネルが固定でき、
車体の捻れ等に対して剛性が高くできる。このた
め、補強パネルの板厚さを薄くしたりすることが
できて、軽量にできる。又、サイドシルの断面を
剛性アツプ分だけ小さくすれば、ドア開口部が大
きくなり、出入りが楽にできる。又、サイドドア
が前後に分れ、センターピラーがある場合には、
センターピラーの下側を、打出し部の形状に合せ
