に配列される。従つて二つの表示部を合わせて一
つのムーブメントとして完成させるには、電子回
路系と運針表示部およびデジタル表示部との電気
的接続と機械的な固定が必要となる。電気的接続
に関しては電子回路系は共用する事になり、電子
回路系の駆動端子に運針表示部を駆動する為のス
テツプモータ等の電気機械変換器およびデジタル
表示ブロツクを接続すれば解決する。しかし機械
的な固定の強度に関しては、上述の電気的接続部
自体の有する結合強度だけでは、不足である。電
子回路系を構成するのに用いる回路基板として
は、通常0.4mm以下のガラスエポキシ基板等がム
ーブメントを薄型化する為に使われており、強度
的には真鍮等の金属板に比較すれば、かなり弱い
ものとなつてしまう。機械的強度の弱さは、耐衝
撃性の点でトラブルの要因となり、信頼性が乏し
い事になる。耐衝撃性を向上させるには、剛性の
高い金属板を用いて、運針表示部のブロツクとデ
ジタル表示部のブロツクを前記金属板に取付けれ
ば解決する。ここで運針表示部のブロツクに使用
されている地板は、真鍮等の金属板を用いている
ので、前記地板を拡大する事によつて電子光学的
表示セルを前記地板上に搭載するとともに、表示
セル支持部材を地板に対して固定するように構成
すれば、別途金属板を設ける必要はなくなる。し
かしこの場合においては耐衝撃性は向上するが、
ムーブメントの構成上、電子回路系と電子光学的
表示セルの間に前記地板が入る事になり、ムーブ
メントの厚みは地板厚だけ厚くなつてしまい、薄
型化という時計のデザイン上のメリツトを失なう
事になつてしまう。
