In liquid crystal watches that use liquid crystal to display time, etc., various connectors have been considered for connecting the liquid crystal cell, which is the liquid crystal display part, and the wiring pattern from the electronic circuit.
Recently, conductive rubber has been used because of its low cost, simple structure, and ease of handling.

However, in order to connect the liquid crystal cell and the conductive rubber, a proper connection cannot be obtained unless the conductive rubber is compressed, so the conductive rubber must be shaped to accommodate the compression, that is, the shape must be enlarged in the connection direction. As a result, the conductive rubber tends to tilt easily, resulting in poor assembly workability.

In the display section of the liquid crystal watch explained above, when conductive rubber is used to connect the liquid crystal cell and the wiring pattern, the conductive rubber has a shape that allows for compression to ensure a secure connection, so no countermeasures are taken. If this is not done, the conductive rubber will tend to tilt during the assembly process, but in this invention, the conductive rubber is supported on both sides of the inner wall of the liquid crystal cell support frame and the side surface of the light guide plate, so it is securely supported. In addition to preventing the conductive rubber from falling over, the light guide plate, which is pre-installed in a watch that illuminates the liquid crystal cell with a lamp, etc., can be used as one of the fall prevention members, without installing any new special parts. Since it is also used as a part, it has an extremely simple structure, which improves assembly workability, and eliminates the complicated work required in the past, such as inserting conductive rubber into the liquid crystal cell support frame and forming a deep hole to prevent it from falling. There is no need for a structure, and a simple structure that facilitates production of the injection mold for molding the liquid crystal cell support frame is achieved, resulting in cost reduction.

Furthermore, positioning using the liquid crystal cell support frame improves the accuracy of the relative mounting position between the light guide plate and the liquid crystal cell, and the side surface of the light guide plate partially enters the open area in a planar manner, which is different from the conventional method. The present invention eliminates the aesthetically undesirable situation in which the ends of the light guide plate become visible when viewed from the display surface side of the liquid crystal cell due to misalignment between the light guide plate and the liquid crystal cell.

Furthermore, because the distance (width) from the side surface of the light guide plate to the inner wall of the hole is maintained constant by positioning the liquid crystal cell support frame, a flat piece of the light guide plate can be To facilitate the insertion work of conductive rubber without shifting.

Also, in the opposite case, that is, after removing the liquid crystal cell and light guide plate, if you pull out the conductive rubber in the vertical direction and perform the removal operation, it is easy to remove the conductive rubber by tilting it diagonally toward the opening. Since it can be removed, disassembly work for maintenance, repair, etc. can be done quickly and easily.
