Conventionally, in the ice storage tank of this type of ice making machine, a rod-shaped ice detector A as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 is often used. That is, when the ice detecting body A, which is swingably suspended in the ice storage tank 1, is tilted by a mountain of ice that is released from the ice making mechanism section 2 of the ice maker and accumulates, the ice detecting body A A micro-switch 3 combined with the ice-making mechanism 2 is turned on, and the ice-making operation of the ice-making mechanism 2 is stopped in response to that signal.

However, the rod-shaped ice detector A described above works normally for large ice cubes (25 to 35 m/m ice cubes), but it works normally for small ice cubes (25 m/m or less). However, it has the disadvantage of causing malfunctions.

The operation of detecting the completion of ice storage by the ice detector can be roughly divided into the following two operations.

(1) A falling block of ice hits the assembly including the ice detection rod, shakes the assembly and forms a mountain of ice, and when the detection rod comes into contact with the pile of ice, the micro switch is turned on. If you hold it for a few seconds, the ice storage is complete.

(2) When the falling ice falls down the pile of ice, the weight of the ice pushes and tilts the detection rod, keeping the micro switch on, and the ice storage is complete.

However, the width of the conventional ice detector A mentioned above is
In contrast, when the size of the ice block is small, operation (1) will work normally, but in operation (2), the weight of the ice is light, so
If only one or two ice cubes touch it, there is not enough force to push and tilt the detection rod. Moreover, ice blocks roll down behind the detection rod, thereby further interfering with the operation of the detection rod, so in the case of operation (2), further ice blocks may accumulate and bury the detection rod. If this situation continues, ice making operations will continue even though there is sufficient ice mass stored, and in extreme cases the ice storage tank may become overwhelmed due to the storage of more ice mass than specified. This will cause trouble in the drive part.

This idea was made to solve the above problem. Regardless of the size of the ice blocks stored in the ice storage tank, the ice storage system is designed to accurately detect and activate ice blocks when storage is complete. The purpose is to provide a detection object.

In FIGS. 4 to 6, B is an ice detector, which consists of a rectangular receiving plate 4 and a support rod 5 fixed to the central part of its back.
The bottom side of the support plate 4 is formed into a tapered shape by oblique edges 4a, 4a, which are obtained by cutting diagonally the corner portions on both sides. , is formed on a slope 5a that slopes from the top to the bottom toward the receiving plate, and the rod portion protruding from the top of the receiving plate 4 becomes a hook-shaped hook portion 5b, similar to the conventional detection body. ing. 6 is an ice detector support frame, 7 is a mounting plate, and 8 is a support shaft.

According to the ice detector B configured as described above, all the drawbacks of the conventional ice detector A described above can be eliminated.

In other words, like the conventional ice detector A, the width is 20 mm.
In the case of rod-shaped pieces of about m/m, the size of the ice block is 25
m/m or less, the weight of the ice cubes becomes lighter, so the operation is uncertain if only one or two ice cubes touch. For those made of boards,
Its width is wide enough to detect several ice cubes at the same time, ensuring reliable operation.

In addition, when a light ice block hits another ice block when it falls, it is bounced and wraps around behind the detection object, so simply increasing the width of the detection object will not work with the ice blocks that have wrapped around behind it. Although it is considered to be uncertain, in the case of ice detector B, in which the bottom of the receiving plate 4 is tapered and the back surface of the back support rod 5 is also formed into a slope 5a, Since this has the effect of canceling the interference caused by the ice blocks that have gone around behind the receiving plate 4, there is no risk that the operation will become uncertain even when the ice blocks have gone around.

Furthermore, if the surface that comes into contact with the ice block is made larger and the amount of ice that comes in contact with it is increased, if the sensing object is buried, it will be difficult to come out.
Although there is a risk that the operation of the detector may be impaired, the bottom of the receiver plate 4 is tapered like the receiver plate 4 of the ice detector B, and the back surface of the support rod 5 on the back side is also sloped 5a.
According to the structure formed in the ice cubes, it not only has the advantage of being able to escape with a small amount of force even if it is filled with ice blocks, but it also has the effect of reducing weight.

As described above, according to this invention, the ice detector consists of a rectangular receiving plate and a support rod fixed to the central part of the back surface, and the bottom side of the receiving plate is formed in a tapered shape. , the support rod is formed with a slope where the back of the rod part stacked on the receiving plate slopes from the top to the bottom toward the receiving plate, so it can be used regardless of the size of the ice blocks stored in the ice storage tank. , it is possible to ensure the detection operation when ice storage is completed.
