BACKGROUND ART Various types of shock-absorbing packaging materials made from synthetic resin foam sheets have been produced and used in the past, and are widely used as they are easy to mold, lightweight, and have good shock-absorbing properties.

However, when the wall thickness of a foam sheet becomes thinner, its strength decreases and there is a risk of it breaking during use, and when the wall thickness becomes thicker, the packaging space becomes narrower, which is wasteful in terms of storage efficiency and manufacturing costs, and improvements are desired. It was rare. In particular, when using flexible foam sheets, they are weak and have poor self-supporting properties, so it is difficult to form containers etc. with the soft foam alone, and reinforcing materials such as cardboard must be used in conjunction with it, which is time consuming and time consuming. It was costly.

Therefore, in this invention, it is possible to easily manufacture a flexible foam sheet that takes advantage of the soft contact feeling and cushioning properties of the flexible foam sheet for the packaged items, and has excellent rigidity, and its structure is as follows:
The whole is integrally formed of a laminated sheet made of a relatively hard foam sheet and a relatively soft foam sheet bonded to one or both sides, and one of the base pieces has a storage recess through an upright piece. A cover piece for the main body piece is bendably connected to the other piece of the base piece through an upright piece, and the cover piece serves as a base piece. It is characterized in that it is configured so that the upper surface of the opening of the storage recess of the main body piece that is bent toward the upper surface of one side can be covered.

1 to 9 illustrate a sheet for storing a transistor radio or the like as an example of the cushioning packaging material. Sheet A, which serves as a cushioning packaging material, consists of a base piece 1, a main body piece 3 with a storage recess 30 via upright pieces 2 and 2' on both ends thereof, and the main body piece 3.
Both the cover pieces 4 and the cover pieces 4 are connected to each other so as to be bendable.

In addition, the sheets forming the buffer packaging material in the above embodiment include a relatively hard foamed sheet a such as a foamed polystyrene sheet, and a relatively soft foamed sheet such as a polyolefin foamed sheet such as a foamed polyethylene sheet or a foamed polypropylene sheet. It is preferable that the sheet c is laminated with EVA as the binder b, as it has both rigidity and flexibility.

Then, the above laminated sheet is applied as a binder to one side of a foamed polystyrene sheet with a thickness of 1 mm, for example.
EVA is laminated, and a foamed polyethylene sheet with a thickness of 1 mm is layered on the EVA side, and the whole is laminated into one piece by heating and compression when molded into a cushioning packaging material of the desired shape, making it relatively soft. The foamed polyethylene sheet on the side is compressed by 20-70%
The thickness of the cushioning packaging material as a whole is approximately 1.3 to 1.8 mm, and the relatively soft foamed polyethylene sheet has a velvety or velvety surface due to heating and compression during molding. It becomes soft and feather-like and feels very good to the touch.

In use, first place the items to be packaged on the base piece 1, such as the manual E for the radio etc., the radio protective cover F, and the storage box G for earphones and other small items (all shown as a schematic diagram). The main body piece 3 is folded and placed so as to cover the object to be packaged with the piece 2 raised up, and the main object to be packaged by the radio H ( After storing the main body piece (shown as a schematic diagram), all that is required is to raise the other upright piece 2' and fold the cover piece 4 over the main body piece 3 to cover it. The packaging is completed by inserting it into an outer case D made of paper, synthetic resin, etc. (see Fig. 5).

As described above, by using the cushioning packaging material of this invention, it is easy to handle, does not take up much bulk even when not in use, and is convenient for transportation and storage. Since the main body piece 3 with the storage recess 30 and the cover piece 4 for the main body piece 3 are arranged in a bendable manner in a row on the other side via the upright piece 2', various thick objects can be packaged. This means that the product can be packaged with low length and bulk, making it possible to package the product with a good appearance. In particular, the main body piece 3 can cover each packaged item placed on the base piece 1 from above, and the main body piece 3
For the main packaged items in the storage recess 30,
Since the cover piece 4 is placed over from above to protect it, all items are packaged with extremely good cushioning properties. Moreover, since it is made of a laminated sheet made by bonding a relatively hard foam sheet and a relatively soft foam sheet, it has good cushioning properties and rigidity. That is, a relatively hard foam sheet has the advantage of being able to maintain its shape sufficiently through its rigidity and self-supporting properties, and a relatively soft foam sheet can take advantage of its flexibility to enhance the cushioning effect. Therefore, even if the overall thickness is made as thin as possible, it can be used satisfactorily.

Therefore, by using the buffer packaging material of this invention, it is possible to realize a buffer package that is simpler than ever and has a stable packaging condition, and is a practical product that can greatly contribute to the improvement of packaging for various industrial materials and products. It is excellent.
