定運転条件で排気中酸素濃度を前記基準値近傍に
保つことにより、機関に供給される混合気の空燃
比を所定値に保つようにフイードバツク制御する
空燃比フイードバツク制御装置を備えた内燃機関
にあつて、O2センサの異常の有無を診断する自
己診断装置において、前記空燃比フイードバツク
制御装置による空燃比のフイードバツク制御時に
O2センサの出力のレベルを検出する出力レベル
検出手段と、同じくO2センサの出力が反転する
周期を検出する出力周期検出手段と、前記出力レ
ベル検出手段により検出される出力レベルが設定
値以下のときまたは前記出力周期検出手段により
検出される出力周期が設定値以上のときにO2セ
ンサが異常であると判定する判定手段と、該判定
手段による判定結果を報知する報知手段とを備え
て構成したことを特徴とする空燃比フイードバツ
ク制御装置付内燃機関におけるO2センサの自己
