As a method of sealing pool water with a pool gate, for example, as shown in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 57-142597, gate arms are attached to both sides of the gate body, and the gate arms are attached to the gate attached to the pool wall. There is a known device that is installed on a supporting metal fitting and seals pool water using water pressure from the gate installation side. The weight of the pool gate body is supported by a gate pedestal provided on the pool wall at the bottom of the gate body. In addition, since the gate body is attached to and detached from the installation location using an overhead crane, the construction of the gate body is simple.

The purpose of the present invention is to use a sliding method for opening and closing the pool gate, and by providing a locking mechanism on the front surface of the gate, the gate can be opened and closed easily, and it also provides reliable sealing performance and is resistant to reverse water pressure. The purpose is to provide a pool gate that can be used.

The present invention changes the opening/closing method of pool gates used for pools storing radiation-protective liquids or irradiation materials in nuclear reactor facilities from the conventional insertion method to a sliding method, and also changes the sealing method from the conventional hydraulic method. By employing a mechanically pressed locking mechanism, the gate can be easily handled and a reliable seal can be obtained. Furthermore, since it is pressed mechanically, this pool gate can also be used for sealing against reverse water pressure.

The roller 29 rolls within the roller guide 31 and slides on the rail 34. When the gate body 22 has arrived at the specified installation position, the hydraulic cylinder 24 pushes down the connecting shaft 27 to which the driving wedge 25 is connected, so that the wheels 28 of the gate body 22 roll on the rollers 37 and press against the pool wall. It will be done. The gate body 22 pressed as described above can seal the pool water with the seal 30.
