Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a jet port from being clogged, by disposing a perforated mesh film with a feeding mechanism in contact with the jet port, and jetting an ink through a hole of the mesh film. CONSTITUTION:An ink 2 is supplied from an ink-reserving part 1 into a groove 3 by a pressurizing mechanism. The ink 2 supplied into the groove 3 is heated by a heat generating resistor 5, whereby a bubble 7 is generated in the ink 2, and under the action of the bubble 7, a droplet 8 of the ink is allowed to pass through a jet port 4 and a hole 9 of a mesh film 11 and to fly to a recording medium 6, thereby forming an image. When the hole 9 of the mesh film 11 is clogged due to drying of the ink 2 or the like, a feeding mechanism 10 is rotated to feed the film 11 in the direction of the arrow so that a new hole 9 comes into contact with the jet port 4. Accordingly, the clogging problem can be easily solved.
