Conventionally, in the production of bags, after cutting the base fabric of the product from general fabrics such as cloth materials and sheet materials, in the process of sewing the base fabric, a pair of interlocking pieces are attached to the opposing inner edges. A method was adopted in which a slide fastener tape attached to the bag was sewn to the opening edge of the bag.

However, according to this conventional method, since the base fabric is closed in an annular state during sewing, it is difficult to mechanize the process of attaching the fastener tape. These materials are sewn or welded, and this is one of the factors that hinders the production efficiency of bags.

As shown in FIG. 1, the banding fabric 1 of the embodiment includes a long piece of fabric 2 made of a woven fabric suitable for bags, a resin sheet, a leather sheet, etc., and each longitudinal edge of the fabric 2 on both sides. It is formed by a pair of separated plastic coil-shaped interlocking pieces 3A and 3B that are sewn and successively attached with a sewing thread 3, and the width of the band 1 is as described below. When cutting the base fabric of the bag, the size is such that it can be cut with the part corresponding to the opening edge of the bag placed on the selvage of the band 1.

In the bag 5 shown in FIG. 3 (forming the main body of a handbag, handbag, etc.) in which the base fabric 4 is folded and sewn at the locations indicated by chain lines in the figure, both interlocking pieces 3A and 3B are attached to the opening edge of the bag 5. After positioning, that is, sewing, a slider 6, a stopper, etc. with which both the occlusal pieces 3A and 3B are engaged are attached.

As another example, the base fabric 7 shown in FIG. 4 in which the middle of the cut edges on both sides is protruded, and the bag 8 shown in FIG.
In the case of , both the interlocking pieces 3A and 3B are similarly located at the opening edge of the bag 8, and in this way, it is possible to cut bags of various shapes from the band cloth 1 of the embodiment.

Next, in the band cloth 9 of another embodiment shown in FIG. 6, the cloth 10 includes a main cloth 10a occupying most of the width, and a slide fastener tape sewn along both sides of the main cloth 10a. 10b, and each of the occlusal pieces 3A, 3B is attached in advance to each outer edge of both tapes 10b in a state where they are separated from each other.

Since the band fabrics 1 and 9 of the embodiment are constructed in this way, when the base fabric of a bag is cut as described above using these band fabrics 1 and 9, occlusion may occur during the sewing process of the bag. The need to attach and process the pieces is eliminated.

As described above, according to the bag manufacturing belt fabric according to the present invention, a pair of long belt-shaped fabrics having a required width adapted to cutting the pattern of the bag base fabric are formed on both longitudinal edges of the long belt fabric. Since the binding pieces for the slide fastener are attached separately from each other to form the band fabric, there is no need to sew the binding pieces through tape during the sewing process of the base fabric, and as a result, the mechanization of the base fabric sewing process is possible. This has the effect of improving bag manufacturing efficiency.
