Claims

[Scope of Claim for Utility Model Registration] (1) To provide an opening for taking in and out a tape cartridge rotatably housing a pair of reels on which magnetic tape can be wound, and to close this opening. A housing having a front wall with a rotatable lid, and a plurality of tape cartridges inserted through an opening provided in the front wall of the housing so that the center of rotation of the reel is horizontal. A tray configured to be stored side by side and held inside the housing so as to be movable back and forth in a parallel direction facing the front wall; and a tray outside the movement trajectory of the tray inside the housing. A tape deck for playing back or recording the tape cartridges arranged and fed from the tray, and a tape deck for reciprocating the tray in the horizontal direction. a tray driving means for driving the tray so as to pause the tray when one tape is transferred to a position facing the tape deck; and a plurality of tapes stored in the tray by the tray driving means. When one of the cartridges is transferred to a position opposite to the tape deck, the tape cartridge is sent out from the tray and transferred into the tape deck, and the playback or recording of the tape deck fed into the tape deck is completed.
