のが普通である(実公昭48−2591号公報参照)。 Automotive heating systems are equipped with a fan that sucks in cold air (outside air or air inside the vehicle) and a heater core that uses coolant after cooling the engine as a heat source. While the cold air passes through the heater core, it is heated and becomes warm air. ,
Generally, the warm air is blown out from the hot air outlet near the passenger's feet, and the warm air is blown onto the inner surface of the window glass from a defroster duct to defrost the windshield (see Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 48-2591).

いる。 In Figures 1 and 2, 1 is a heater unit equipped with a fan 2 that sucks cold air (outside air or air inside the vehicle) and a heater core 3 that uses coolant after cooling the engine as a heat source. Cold air is sucked in from the port 4 and heated by the heater core 3.
The heated air is blown out near the passenger's feet from the warm air outlet 5 at the bottom, and the heated air passes through the defroster duct 6 and is blown onto the inner surface of the window glass 8 from the defroster nozzle 7 at the tip. There is.

う構成したものである。 When using a defroster that increases the amount of hot air distributed to the defroster duct 6, the amount of air blown from the heating hot air outlet 5 decreases significantly as described above, which is the same as in the conventional configuration. In the present invention, the defroster duct 6 is provided with a nozzle-shaped or small-hole-shaped outlet 6a facing the vicinity of the passenger's knees A, and a portion of the warm air flowing inside the defroster duct 6 is directed from the outlet 6a to the occupant's knees. It is constructed so that it blows out towards the surrounding area.

てもよい。 In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the nozzle-shaped outlet 6
In this example, a small hole-shaped outlet 6a is installed in the upper part of the defroster duct 6 to blow hot air diagonally downward toward the knees, but as shown in FIG. The heater unit 1 may be provided near the base of the defroster opening 10 of the heater unit 1 of No. 6 so as to blow hot air obliquely upward toward the vicinity of the knees.

The provided air outlet 6a blows air toward the knees where the heating effect is highest, and extremely effective heating can be performed with a relatively small amount of warm air that does not impair the purpose of ensuring defroster performance. The structure is simple and the cost is low, and together with this, it can bring about great practical effects.
