る前記Al系合金溶湯流を上下方向から挾んだ状
態において、冷却媒体に直接に接触せしめること
なく、連続的に冷却、凝固せしめることにより、
所定厚さの板状鋳塊を連続的に形成しつつ、回転
により前方に送り出すようにした一対のキヤスタ
ロール若しくはキヤスタベルトからなるキヤスタ
手段と、 前記溶湯保持手段のノズルの出口と該キヤスタ
手段の入側部分との間に所定の不活性ガスを吹き
付け、該ノズルから吐出された前記Al系合金溶
湯流が該キヤスタ手段に導かれるに際して空気に
接触しないようにする第一のガス噴出手段と、 前記キヤスタロールまたはキヤスタベルトの回
転方向において該第一のガス噴出手段よりも前方

接触面の水分をパージする第二のガス憤出手段と
