Conventionally, fancy yarns are known that are manufactured by mixing slubs and nets during the spinning process, but this involves adding slubs and nets to the base fiber bundle, and its design effect is also limited. I had no choice but to stay within my limits.

In the present invention, the base fiber bundle is varied in various ways by spun different types of slivers alternately and randomly, and the yarn form is changed by adding fibers or fiber lumps, and the combined effect of the two creates a high-order hue. , we succeeded in obtaining morphological changes.

That is, the gist of the invention is that when spinning a sliver with an average fiber length L, a sliver spreading area and a converging guide following it are provided before the draft area of a special spinning machine to which different types of slivers are alternately and randomly supplied. The aim is to produce slub yarns, fluffy yarns, etc. with a high-order fancy effect by randomly adding fibers or fiber lumps with a fiber length of 1/2 L or less to the expanded sliver in the expanded area.

Figure 2 shows the sliver 6 spread out on the support plate 8.
This figure shows a state in which an additive 7 has been added to the material, and the material is focused by a focusing guide 4 in a state containing the additive, and is transferred to the next draft area 5.

In this case, the additive 7 is supplied to the developed surfaces of the randomly (or regularly) connected slivers of different materials that are alternately supplied, so for example, when the slivers have different hues, the additives 7 are supplied with color A or color B. The combination of the color or the mixed color of A and B with the additive will further enhance the fancy effect.

It is formed by a part where the additive 7 is included in the color part, a part where the additive 7 is included in the B color part, or a mixed part of A and B colors, or the mixed part and the A color part and the B color part. The additive 7 is randomly included in the area.

At this time, in order to clearly express the shape of the additive, it is necessary that only the base portion be drafted in the draft region, and that the additive must not be drafted or be drafted only slightly.

As a result of intensive studies on this point, the present inventors found that the average fiber length of the added fiber or fiber mass is 1/2L compared to the average fiber length L of the base fiber bundle.
We found the need for the following.

These additives do not simply sit on the base fibers, but are wrapped up and later drafted by the focusing guide 4, so that they blend well with the base fibers and do not fall off.

Example 1 Using the apparatus shown in Figure 1, acrylic fiber 8d x 152
mm sliver and acid dyeable acrylic fiber
5d x 127mm is alternately and randomly supplied to the sliver development area, 2d x 32mm roving is added from above the developed sliver, and after converging with a focusing guide, a draft of 8 times is applied and a twist of 150T/M is applied to 1/4MC. A spun yarn was obtained, and a slub yarn with different dyeing colors and a great design effect with hues varying randomly in the yarn length direction was obtained.

Example 2 Using the same equipment as in Example 1, acrylic fiber
Slivers of different hues consisting of 5d x 152mm are alternately and randomly supplied to the sliver development area, and a nylon 45 mm without crimp is applied from above the developed sliver.
mm staples were shaken off, and then a 12-fold draft was applied through a convergence guide and twisted at 220 T/M to obtain a spun yarn of 1/7 MC. This yarn had a hue that varied randomly in the length direction of the yarn, and a fluffed yarn with nylon fluff that had a great design effect was obtained.
