Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a germanium-containing medicinal liquid containing an aqueous solution containing a specific amount of germanium as a main agent and exhibiting remarkable remedying effect to athlete's foot, skin-beautifying effect, hair tonic effect, body warming effect, etc. CONSTITUTION:A germanium-containing medicinal liquid is produced by using an aqueous solution containing 200-4,000ppm of germanium (in terms of element) as a main agent. The germanium-containing medicinal liquid has excellent remedying effect to athlete's food, skin activation effect, hair tonic effect, body- warming effect, blood flow accelerating effect, etc. Since germanium is unreactive with ordinary compounds, it can be used in combination with other liquid cosmetic (e.g. milky lotion, hair dressing, etc.). It is useful also as a base aqueous solution for water-based ointment.

Description

[Detailed Description of the Invention] It is well known that organic germanium is used as a treatment for many diseases and that many Chinese herbal medicines contain large amounts of germanium. It is said that it has physiological activity. On the other hand, it is also known that mineral springs containing germanium have curative effects on many diseases.

The present inventor previously researched the water solubility of germanium, and found that the solubility of commercially available germanium oxide in water was extremely high: approximately 9,000 ppm in hot water at 100°C, approximately 7,000 ppm% in room temperature water at 25°C, and approximately 7,000 ppm% in cold water at 4°C. Example 1 I tried hot water therapy on a person suffering from moderate athlete's foot.

This therapy is well known, but in this example, we attempted treatment by soaking the feet in 1000 ρi germanium water kept at 40° C. for 20 minutes every day. As a result, the athlete's foot was cured after 20 days.

Example 2 After washing my face every day, I wet my face with 2000 ppm germanium water, rubbed it and wiped it off, and the blood circulation in my face improved significantly and it became shiny. This shows that germanium-containing water has a skin beautifying effect.

Example 3 After washing the hair of a person with a lot of hair while taking a bath, the head was wetted with 11,000 pp germanium water along with a rinse and rinsed with water after a few minutes. As a result, it was observed that the number of hair removed was significantly reduced after 5 baths. This fact indicates that germanium water has a hair-nourishing effect.

Example 4 A person added 3,000 ppn+ germanium water to a household bath to an extent that germanium was 5 ppm, and took a normal bath. The above four examples show the results of using germanium-containing water alone, but since germanium is non-reactive with general compounds, other liquid cosmetics such as emulsions (colognes, skin-beautifying agents), hair styling products, etc. It is sufficient to predict that it will be used in combination with (lotions).
