Description
2 /~
This invention relates to a process for removing and clearing away the skin scales, cicatrizing, healing and soothing the skin.
The product consists esentially of a liquid or a cream in which the active element is a hypertonic aqueous solution of Absolute Jasmin oil and Salicylic Acid, in a colloidal silica carrier.
1 - The Jasmin oil is preferably used in the form of Jasmine Absolute such as exists in commerce under the common name of " Chambeli ".
This is an essential oil extacted from the extremely fragrant flowers of Jasmine.
It is also a natural perfume material which is not subjected to heat.
The term " Absolute " means a plant-extracted material that has been concentrated, but that remains absolutely unchanged in its original taste and odor.
Its concentration should be from 33 to 50 percent.
2 - Salted Water is added, in a hypertonic concentration of Sodium chloride, higher than the physiological concentration of Sodium chloride in the human blood.
Best effects are obtained with sodium chloride in the combination of a mineral, thermal purified spring water.
Sodium is also used as a second barrier agent.
Sodium concentration should be from 5 to 10 percent.

3 - The absorbent medium in which the solution of Jasmine oil and Sodium chloride are incorporated is Silicon Dioxide or silica in its colloidal form. The most adequate is "Aerosil", the most appropriate for the preparation of this medicine.
The relative proportion of silica to be used is up to 5% for liquid cream, or an emulsion, and up to 10 %
for a stiffer cream.
It acts as a barrier agent.
We don't need a skin protective ingredient, because Jasmin Oil represents a good protection.
These components compounded in this manner produces, when applied to the skin conditions, especially cutaneous wounds and scales, produce, through the evident results, and according to medical data, an " Exosmotic " effect on the underlying tissues.
There is a reason to believe thot a reversed direction osmotic action, directed form the underlying tissues to the exterior, the outside milieu.
This Exosmotic effect produces an aspiration of the tissues liquid to the exterior milieu.
This effect is explained by the medical effects of all hypertonic liquids and fluids in medicine.
21209fi7 This combination acts like an absorbing exudate material.
In medical words, it seems to be that this product has a higher proportion of ions per unit of volume compared to that of the human blood. And this is confirmed by the pH variations of liquids.
A healing and soothing effect are produced when this product is applied and for a long time, from 2 to 7 days, depending on the frequency of washing or bathing.
On the other hand, the healing effect produced by this medicine shows that it acts as a keratolytic, stopping the continuous proliferation of the skin cornea stratum, while the soothing effect produced by this medicine shows that the aspiration of the body tissues liquid may extract big quantities of tissue liquid, through this inverted osmose, (Exosmosis).

4 - Salicylic Acid is then added as :
- A keratolytic medicine at 2 to 10 percent concentration acting like a crude coal tar or Anthralin ( Dithranol ), without the indesirable odor of the coal tar, or its risks to cause cancer and allergic reactions.
Anthralin ( Dithranol ) also may cause rash and intensify chronic kidney diseases.
Also, it does not stain sheets and clothing, while Anthralin does.
- Antimicrobial medicine at 2 to 5 percent concentration in lotions and ointments, and at 0.1 to 0.5 percent in skin softeners and hair tonics, dandruff preparations and protective creams.
- Antipyretic, antifever medicine.
- It is Antipuretic ~anti-itching).
- Anti-inflammatory agent.
- Antiseptic.
- Analgesic.
Absorbed throught the skin, it rarely causes skin rashes.
For our medicament, the concentration should be from 2 to 5 percent.
This Medicament can be used on the scalp, including post auricular regions, and will remove thick scalp plaques, difficult to treat, mostly if we add more than 1 % of this ingredient in this oily Sodium Chloride hypertonic solution.

5 - While it may rarely cause small allergic reactions, we do added :
Benzocaine or Ethyl Aminobenzoate :
A local anesthetic, very low in toxicity.
All scientists confirm that no toxic significance is related even to concentrations of this product.
212~967 -(It is Better to avoid in babies due to its lowering oxygene effect in blood, creating a methemoglobinemia due to its absorption through the skin in case of inflamed skin or rectal fissures).
With this ingredient, the medicament is hypoallergic, and is least likely to cause a reaction.
Its concentration should be from .1 to .5 percent.
