Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively perform the mixing and defoaming of a liquid to be treated and a powder regardless of the characteristics of the liquid to be treated, by providing a pump chamber to the bottom part of a vertical vacuum tank having an inverted cone shaped bottom part and emitting the liquid sucked in a pump onto the inclined plate provided to the upper part of the vacuum tank. CONSTITUTION:When a prescribed amount of a liquid such as a resin liquid is supplied to a vacuum tank and a pump consisting of impellers 3, guide vanes 4 and a drive shaft 5 is operated, the liquid is sucked in the pump to be emitted to an inclined plate 10 through a conduit 8 and flows down along the inclined plate to fall on the liquid in the tank. When a powder such as powdery silica sand is gradually supplied to the tank by a supply nozzle 16, the powder falling on the surface of the liquid is sucked in the liquid by a turbine blade 6 to be mixed with the liquid and the resulting mixture is further sucked in a pump chamber and defoamed under vacuum while flows down along the inclined plate. By repeating this process, mixing and defoaming are effectively performed within a short time regardless of the viscosity of the liquid and the treated liquid sufficiently subjected to mixing and defoaming is taken out from a take-out valve 11.

However, as shown in Fig. 2, a type in which a turbine blade 6 is provided on a drive shaft 5 driven by a motor 17 has a simple structure and is inexpensive, but its stirring efficiency is poor and complete mixing cannot be achieved. There is a problem that it takes a considerable amount of time to rotate the drive shaft 5 driven by a motor 17, as shown in FIG. Although this type is used for mixing and defoaming in a relatively short period of time, the liquid to be treated has a considerable viscosity due to the inefficient lift pump due to its structure. Otherwise, the liquid cannot be circulated, and even if you try to use the pump at a high rotation speed, it is not possible to increase the rotation speed too much because it has stirring blades 18. The disadvantage is that it cannot be used to mix liquids.

The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. Fig. 1 is a schematic sectional view of a mixing and defoaming machine in an embodiment of the present invention, and shows a vertical vacuum tank 1 having an inverted conical bottom. A pump chamber 2 is provided at the bottom of the pump chamber, and a vacuum device 1 is installed at the top of the pump chamber 2.

This pump chamber 2 is equipped with an impeller 3, a guide vane 4, and a drive shaft 5 inside, and a turbine blade 6 is attached to the drive shaft 5 to constitute a pump, which is driven by a motor 17 outside the tank. This allows the liquid to be processed, which consists of liquid and powder, supplied into the vacuum tank 1 to be transferred.

Next, a liquid discharge lower is provided in the pump chamber 2, and a discharge nozzle 9 is connected to the pump chamber 2, which can discharge the liquid to be treated discharged by the pump to the upper part of the vacuum tank 1 via a conduit 8.

Further, an inclined plate 10 is provided below the discharge nozzle 9 in the vacuum tank 1, and is formed to receive the liquid to be treated discharged from the pump and spread it into a thin film to facilitate degassing. However, since the surface area of the inclined plate 10 increases as the liquid to be treated goes down the slope, the liquid to be treated will be sufficiently degassed and degassed during this time.

Next, to explain the function of the mixing defoaming machine with the above configuration, first, a specified amount of liquid such as resin liquid is supplied to the vacuum tank 1, and then the pump and turbine blades 6 are driven. When the pump is operated by rotating the motor 17, the pump always draws liquid into the pump and generates a discharge pressure, regardless of conditions such as the viscosity and temperature of the liquid to be treated.

While circulating the liquid to be treated in this way, when powder such as silica sand powder or alumina powder is gradually supplied from the powder supply nozzle 16, the powder that has fallen to the surface of the liquid is removed by the turbine blades 6 into the liquid. The liquid is drawn into the pump chamber 2, where it is thoroughly mixed with the liquid by the stirring effect of the impeller 3 and the guide vane 4, and is then discharged from the liquid discharge lower through the conduit 8 and from the discharge nozzle 9 onto the inclined plate 10. As it flows down on the inclined plate 10, it is vacuum degassed and falls onto the liquid to be treated stored inside.
