Natural wood has the disadvantage of warping when dried, and especially when used in applications where it is exposed outdoors and repeatedly drying and absorbing moisture, it has the disadvantage of warping and cracking in the direction of the wood grain. In addition, teak wood is often used as flooring material for the decks of ships because it requires wear resistance, but due to the above-mentioned drawbacks, it is necessary to use thick material, and it is expensive. It had some serious flaws.

The purpose of this invention is to provide a laminated material that prevents warping and cracking of natural wood. The gist of this invention is to attach a hard synthetic resin foam reinforced with parallel long fibers to the back side of a board made of natural wood. exists in a laminated material made by laminating the long fibers so that the direction of the long fibers is substantially perpendicular to the grain direction of the plate-like material.

Next, the laminated material of the present invention will be explained with reference to the drawings. In the figure, 1 is a plate-shaped body made of natural wood, and a hard synthetic resin foam 2 reinforced with parallel long fibers is laminated on the back side of the plate-shaped body. This resin foam 2
It may be made of a hard material, but it is preferably made of a thermosetting resin, and particularly preferably made of a polyurethane resin. Further, as the long fibers for reinforcing the resin foam 2, organic or inorganic reinforcing fibers are used, and glass fibers are particularly preferred. In addition, as the resin foam 2, in the case of a polyurethane resin foam reinforced with long glass fibers, one with a long glass fiber content of 30 to 50% by weight and an average expansion ratio of 2 to 4 times has a relatively low specific gravity. It is preferable because it is small and has mechanical strength. Note that the arrows in the figure indicate the direction in which the long fibers are arranged.

The resin foam 2 is laminated so that the direction of its long fibers is substantially perpendicular to the direction of the grain of the plate-like body 1. It is preferable that the plate-shaped body 1 and the resin foam 2 are firmly joined with an adhesive, and a two-component reaction type adhesive such as an epoxy type or a urethane type is preferably used as the adhesive. Moreover, an uneven fitting (fitting of a groove and a convex strip, etc.) may be performed on the joint surfaces of both, and furthermore, on the opposite side of the resin foam 2 to the plate-like body 1, parallel Hard synthetic resin foams reinforced with long fibers may be laminated such that the directions of the long fibers are orthogonal to each other. In addition, in the laminated material of the present invention, the wood grain of the plate-like body 1 is oriented in the width direction, and the resin foam 2 is
The long fibers may be oriented in the longitudinal direction.

When this laminated material is used as a deck material for a ship, the plate-shaped body 1 may have a thickness of 10 to 20 mm, and the resin foam 2 may have a thickness of about 10 to 40 mm.

The laminated material of the present invention is constructed as described above, and the plate-shaped body is lined with a hard synthetic resin foam reinforced with long fibers arranged in parallel in the direction perpendicular to the wood grain direction, so it is resistant to dryness and moisture absorption. Even if the process is repeated, warping and cracking are prevented by the backing material made of resin foam.

Moreover, since the thickness of the plate-shaped body made of natural wood can be made thinner so that it does not warp or crack, material costs can be reduced.
