Claims (1)
- エンジンのリングギヤに噛合し得るピニオンを
前端に有する駆動軸が、軸線方向の移動と軸線ま
わりの回動とを自在にしてハウジングに支承され
、始動モータと該駆動軸とは、該駆動軸の回転制
動時に始動モータの回転に応じて駆動軸を前端側
に押出すべくヘリカルスプラインを介して連結さ
れ、ハウジングおよび駆動軸間には該駆動軸を後
方側に付勢する戻しばねが介袋され、ハウジング
内には前方側に臨むブレーキ用コイルと後方側に
臨む保持用コイルとが相互に間隔をあけて対向配
置され、ブレーキ用コイルに対向するブレーキ板
が軸方向相対移動を許容されるとともに相対回転
を阻止されて駆動軸に装着され、保持用コイルに
対向する保持板が相対回転を許容されるとともに
制限された範囲内での軸方向相対移動を許容され
て駆動軸に装着される始動装置において、前記駆
動軸およびブレーキ板間には、軸方向に延びて駆
動軸の外面に設けられた複数の溝内を転動し得る
複数の転動体が介装されることを特徴とする始動
装置。
