排気用バルブ機構をそなえ、同給排気用バルブ機
構が、プツシユロツドと、同プツシユロツドの下
端に装着されたタペツトと、同タペツトの下方に
配設されたバルブ駆動用カムとをそなえて構成さ
れ、上記バルブ機構の開弁タイミングまたは閉弁
タイミングを変更すべく、先端部を上記タペツト
下面と上記カムの周面との間に介装された第1の
アームと、同第1のアームと上記カムの周面との
係合点を進角方向へ所要量偏倚させるように上記
第1のアームを駆動させうる第1の駆動機構と、
上記カムの厚み方向において上記アームに並設さ
れるとともに上記タペツト下面と上記カムの周面
との間に介装された先端部を有する第2のアーム
と、同第2のアームと上記カムの周面との係合点
を遅角方向へ所要量偏倚させるように上記第2の
アームを駆動させうる第2の駆動機構とが設けら
れ、上記第1の駆動機構が、上記第1のアームを
枢支する第1の偏心シヤフトと、同第1の偏心シ
ヤフトを所要量回転駆動する第1の回転駆動手段
とで構成され、上記第2の駆動機構が、上記第2
のアームを枢支する第2の偏心シヤフトと、同第
2の偏心シヤフトを所要量回転駆動する第2の回
転駆動手段とで構成されて、上記第1の偏心シヤ
フトの上記第1の回転駆動手段による回転中心と
上記第2の偏心シヤフトの上記第2の回転駆動手
段による回転中心とが整合するように配設される
とともに、上記第1の偏心シヤフトの中心と上記
第2の偏心シヤフトの中心とが上記回転中心を挾
んで対向する位置に配設されていることを特徴と
