Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the printing of both sides of paper possible, by a method wherein the discharge paper after printing the front of paper is again guided to a platen with a paper turning over roller other than the platen and a paper guide, and the back of the paper is printed by the reverse rotation of the platen and the rotation circuit of a letter pattern. CONSTITUTION:Letters are successively printed with a printing head 3 and a paper is sent upward. The paper is guided from one side port j of the paper guide 7 surrounding a paper turning over roller 6 to the paper turning over roller 6. The paper is turned over by the rotation of the paper caused by the rotation of the roller 6 and comes out from the other port k of the paper guide 7. When a paper presser 5 has already fallen the arrow (e) direction and the top of the paper reaches a platen 1, the paper presser 5 falls again to the arrow (f) direction and the platen 1 is rotated in the reverse arrow (h) direction. Then, the letter string of each line is printed in the sequence from the line end letter to the line top letter by the printing head 3. Furthermore, the letter pattern coming out from a letter pattern generator 10 is rotated by 180 deg. with a letter pattern 180 deg. rotation circuit 9 to be printed.

According to the present invention, in a dot printer that can handle cut paper as paper, it has a platen that can be rotated in forward and reverse directions, and the direction of the paper ejected from the platen after printing on two sides is changed, and the paper is turned over and printed again. A front and back printing printer is obtained which is characterized by having a paper turning roller and a paper guide for guiding the paper to the platen, and a 180° rotation circuit for printing characters and main turns in two front printing and back printing.

That is, in the present invention, the discharged paper after front side printing is guided to the platen again by a paper turning roller separate from the platen and a paper guide arranged so as to surround the paper turning roller, and the platen is rotated in the reverse direction. Printing on the back was realized using a 180° rotation circuit for the character pattern.

During paper feeding, the paper guide 8 is folded down in the direction of arrow C and guides the paper between the platen 1 and the paper guide 2. Next, the paper is pulled in by rotating the platen 1 in the direction of arrow g, passes between the platen 1 and the ink ribbon 4, and presses the paper by folding the paper presser 5 in the direction of f, completing the paper feeding operation, and rotating the platen 1. stop.

Line feeding is performed by rotating the platen 1 by one line in the direction of arrow g. In this way, characters are printed one after another and the paper is fed upward. As a result, the paper is guided from one opening j of the paper guide 7 attached so as to surround the paper turning roller 6 to the paper turning roller 6, and the paper turning roller 6 rotates in synchronization with the rotation of the platen 1. 6, the paper is drawn between the paper guide 7 and the paper turning roller 6. The paper is turned over by the rotation of the paper turning roller 6, so that the paper is turned over and comes out from the other opening k of the paper guide 7.

The positions of the platen 1 and paper turning roller 6 are set so that when the leading edge of the paper leaves the paper guide 7, the tail end of the paper leaves the platen 1 and the paper presser 5. When the paper leaves the paper guide 7, the paper presser foot 5 is sagging in the direction of arrow e. When the leading edge of the paper coming out of the opening of the paper guide 7 reaches the platen 1, the paper presser 5 falls down again in the direction of the arrow f, and the platen 1 rotates in the direction of the arrow opposite to the tip.

As a result, the paper is guided between the platen 1 and the ink ribbon 4, and the platen 1 is stopped. The preparation for printing on the back is now complete, and the print head 3 prints characters first. At this time, the character string of each line is printed in order from the last character of the line to the first character of the line. In addition, the character pattern output from the 2-character pattern generator 10 is rotated 1800 times when printing one side, and the mother turn is 2.
The character/main turn is generated in the 180° rotation circuit 9 and printed. In this way, send the lines one by one in the direction of the arrow.
