Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to print letters with both print starting position and print ending position near the paper edge by providing a paper feed section consisting of a feed roller and a pinch roller at the front and rear sections of a letter printing section and a stopper that freely advances and retreats between the paper feed section and printing section. CONSTITUTION:The font and rear sections of a printing section 3 that consists of a printing head 2 and a platen 1 are provided with paper feed sections 9 and 10 that consist of feed rollers 11 and 12 and pinch rollers 13 and 14 and at the same time a stopper 22 that can go into or go away from the paper feed route is provided between the printing section 3 and the paper feed section 9 (by means of a spring 21 and a solenoid 23). When the tip of a recording paper 6 is inserted to the stopper 22, the pinch roller 13 contacts by pressing the feed roller 11 to raise the stopper 22. In this way paper feed is made intermittently and the paper is printed. When paper feed and printing are advanced to a specified position, the pinch rollers move away from the feed roller, and at the same time the pinch rollers come down to feed paper with the feed roller 12.
