(発明の作用)
上記の手段により鋳造すると溶湯はキャビティ内に流入
する時にキVビテイを形成するための中子に直接当らず
、横方向に静かに流れるので堰部で溶湯の流入圧が急激
に高またつり、溶湯流の中に乱流が発止することがない
。又溶湯の移動による凝固の遅れ、指向性凝固の崩れが

(実施例の説明)
以下この発明の実施例としてアルミシリンダヘッドの鋳
造を図面に基づき説明する。第1.2図は第1実施例を
示す。第1図はシリンダヘッドの下面側から注湯する場
合を示す。同図において金型2の堰部1の端部6に対向
するキャビティ5を形成する中子4の部位に溶湯と同じ
材質(この実施例ではアルミ)のN3がその取付は部3
bを押し込んで取り付けられている。この際蓋s43の
本体部3aは板状で中子4に密着している。又第2図に
示すように本体部3aの輪郭は堰部1の端部6の輪郭よ
り大きく設定されている。このため金型2に注入された
溶湯は堰部1を通過して蓋3に当り矢印P方向に流れる
ので中子4に当ることがなく、又キャビティ5内に吹き

3bにより取り付けられている。蓋13のの本体部13
aの輪郭は第4図に示すように堰部11の端部16の輪
郭より大きく設定されている。このため溶湯は蓋13の
本体13aと堰部11の端部16との下側の空間を静か
に流れキャビティ15の下側から確実にキャビティ15
を充填していく。第1実施例と同じく充填完了時には蓋
13が溶けており、キャビティ15には堰部11から充
分な押し揚圧力が与えられる。この結果鋳造製品の堰部

部に該当する部位には荒れ肌や引は巣が発生しない。又
蓋に鋳造製品と同じ材質のものを使用するので戻し材の
