    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 先端に工具保持具が設けられた主軸を上下動お
    よび回転させて工作物に加工を施す工作機械にお
    いて、その主軸に関連して設けられた圧力作用部
    材と、圧力作用部材に所定の空圧を作用させて主
    軸、工具保持具、工具およびそれらに関連した部
    材を浮上保持する圧力室と、その圧力室に作用す
    る空圧が主軸との間に導かれ、主軸を気体を介し
    て支持する軸受と、を具備したことを特徴とする
    工作機械。
