2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, various types of stereoscopes have been provided in which stereoscopic images such as a pair of photographs or pictures with parallax are viewed stereoscopically through a pair of convex lenses separated by an interpupillary distance.

For example, there are systems in which a stereo image is formed using a continuous film, and the film is moved frame by frame by turning a knob, etc., but all of these systems focus on exchanging stereo images. However, the overall shape of the stereoscope was not ingenious. For this reason, even though it has sufficient functionality as a stereoscope, it is inconvenient to carry and difficult to use. In addition, in order to maintain a constant positional relationship between the convex lens and the stereo image, the scope plate with the convex lens and the stereo image storage body remain fixed to the main body, so if you leave them indoors as they are, they will not emit light into the room. It is also possible that sunlight enters the convex lens and heats up the focal point, causing a fire.

This invention was developed to improve the problems of the conventional stereoscopes mentioned above, and it is compact overall and can be carried as is in a bag, etc., and can be left indoors etc. without causing any fire hazards. The purpose is to provide a stereoscope that is completely free of danger.

In order to achieve this purpose, the stereoscope according to the present invention has a scope plate having a substantially rectangular concave portion formed in a disc-shaped main body, and a stereo image storage portion and a pair of convex lenses provided on opposite sides of the concave portion. is rotatably mounted, the storage section and the scope plate can be folded into the recess so as to be flush with the main body, and the scope plate is further urged by a spring in the direction of falling into the recess of the main body. This is the summary.

1 in the figure is the main body made of plastic etc.
The main body 1 has a disk shape as a whole, and is formed with a recess 2 that is approximately rectangular when viewed from above, and cutouts 3 and 4 are formed in opposing side surfaces 2a and 2b of the recess 2, respectively. A hanging piece 6 of a stereo image storage section 5 is rotatably supported in one notch 3. The storage section 5 has openings 5a and 5b formed on the inner surface, and the upper surface serves as an insertion slot 5c for a card etc. depicting a stereo image. When a card etc. is inserted into the storage section 5, a pair of parallaxes drawn on the card etc. are displayed. One of the stereo images is arranged to face the aperture 5a and the other to the aperture 5b. In addition, an operation piece 7 is provided on one side of the storage section 5.
is provided, and this operation piece 7 is inserted into the notch 2c formed in the main body 1 when the storage section 5 is folded down and placed in the recess 2.
This operation piece 7 is held with fingers to raise and lower the storage section 5.

Further, as shown in FIG. 2, a hanging piece 9 of a scope plate 8 is rotatably supported in the notch 4.
This scope plate 8 is formed by integrally molding a frame part 8a and a transparent plate 8b having a pair of convex lenses 10, 10 separated by a pupillary distance, and an operating piece 11 is provided on one side of the transparent plate 8b. The operating piece 11 is positioned within a notch 2d formed in the main body 1 when the scope plate 8 is folded down into the recess 2, and the operating piece 11 is picked up with fingers to raise and lower the scope plate 8. Let's do it.

The dimensions of the storage section 5 and the scope plate 8 are such that when folded into the recess 2, they do not interfere with each other and are flush with the main body 1 in the folded state.

By the way, on the hanging piece 9 of the scope plate 8,
A locking piece 9a is formed that faces inward when the scope plate 8 is upright, and the tip of a spring 12, one end of which is fixed to the bottom surface of the recess 2, is locked from above to this locking piece 9a. There is. Therefore, scope plate 8
is always urged in the direction of falling down, that is, in the direction of fitting into the recess 2. Note that 13 is a recess for positioning into which the viewer's nose enters.

In the above process, the operation piece 7 is picked up to raise the storage section 5, and a card with a stereo image drawn thereon is inserted into the storage section 5. In order to support the storage section 5 in its upright state, the hanging piece 6 of the storage section 5 may be supported by pressing against the main body 1 side to some extent, or another locking member may be provided.

Next, the scope plate 8 is raised up, and the openings 5a, 5b of the storage section 5 are opened through the convex lenses 10, 10.
View stereo images of each. Then,
Since stereo images have parallax with each other, a three-dimensional image is visually recognized. After looking at one card, the user pulls out the card from the storage section and observes the next stereo image. When the observation is finished, fold down the storage section 5 and the scope plate 8, and
Set the state as shown in the figure. In this case, the scope plate 8 is biased in the direction of falling down by the spring 13, so that the scope plate 8 will automatically fall down just by releasing the user's hand.

As is clear from the above description, when the stereoscope of the present invention is not in use, the entire body is housed in the disc-shaped body, so it can be carried as is in a bag, etc., and the scope plate 8 can be carried by hand. It will automatically fall down when you let go, so even if you leave it indoors, the light that enters the room will not enter the convex lens, so you don't have to worry about the convex lens causing things to catch fire. Furthermore, both the stereo image storage section and the scope plate can be raised with a single touch, making it easy to use and having many effects, such as being suitable for teaching materials and the like.
