A spray gun conventionally used for spray painting with high viscosity paint or paint mixed with a large amount of aggregate has a paint discharge pipe (inner pipe) 1 installed inside, as shown in a partial cross-sectional view in Figure 1.
Air is injected through a plurality of air inlets 2 drilled in the wall of the tank, the paint and air are mixed in an inner pipe, and the paint is sprayed from the opening of a nozzle 3.

By the way, in recent years, high viscosity paints and paints containing aggregates have been used to paint exterior walls and roof tiles for residential buildings, and as this type of painting has come to be performed continuously on factory lines, improvements in painting speed and beauty have been made. There is a need for improved mounting performance. For this reason, automatically running continuous coating devices, etc., which are composed of a constant paint supply pump, an air supply pump, a spray gun, and a reciprocator, are becoming popular.

In order to improve the painting speed, a water-based emulsion paint containing aggregate is used as the paint, and a quick-drying type such as acrylic reaction emulsion is used, and the amount of paint sprayed by the spray gun is 4 to 15 kg per minute. Amounts that have not been achieved with conventional sprays are now being demanded. Under these circumstances, in order to perform continuous painting work efficiently without sacrificing the aesthetic appearance, it is important to maintain a stable coating pattern of paint sprayed from a spray gun over a long period of time. It becomes a challenge.

When such a coating is performed using a conventional spray gun as described above, as the environmental temperature rises and the drying rate of the paint increases, the inner pipe 1
The paint often dries and sticks inside the nozzle 3, causing changes in the coating pattern. Therefore,
It is necessary to interrupt painting every 1 to 2 hours to clean the inside of the spray gun, which not only significantly lowers operating efficiency, but also requires control of pre- and post-processes, such as temperature control of the drying oven, at the same time as the line stop. This is extremely undesirable. Furthermore, due to its structure, the conventional spray gun as described above can only be used for painting with a single paint, making it difficult to paint a multi-colored pattern finish in one coat.

The present invention provides an improved spray gun that does not have any of the drawbacks of conventional spray guns as described above, is capable of finishing a variety of patterns in one coat, is aesthetically pleasing, and is capable of efficient continuous spray painting. It is something. That is, in the spray gun of the present invention, the inside of the paint discharge pipe is divided into a plurality of paint passages by a partition wall, and the outer circumferential wall of the tip of the pipe is arranged such that the diameter gradually decreases toward the tip. The pipe is formed to be inclined with respect to the discharge direction, and a cap is removably fitted onto the outer peripheral wall of the pipe so as to cover the inclined outer peripheral wall of the tip end of the pipe, and the cap has an opening for passing the discharged paint. is provided, and a gap is provided between the inner peripheral wall of the cap and the outer peripheral wall of the tip of the paint discharge pipe,
It is characterized in that means for feeding air for paint injection into the opening through the gap is connected to the outer peripheral wall of the paint discharge pipe and/or the outer peripheral wall of the cap.

The spray gun of the present invention consists of a combination of a paint discharge pipe 11 and a cap 12. pipe 11
has a plurality of joints 13 (three in the drawing) of the hose through which paint is supplied under pressure by means such as a pump, and the outer circumference of the tip of the pipe 11 (i.e., the tip from which the paint is discharged). The wall 14 is formed so as to be inclined so that its diameter becomes gradually smaller in the paint discharge direction. Note that any angle of inclination can be used depending on the viscosity of the paint, the diameter of the nozzle, and the form of application, but a suitable angle is usually about 5 to 45 degrees. For example, in the case of spray coating, if the nozzle diameter is about 6 mm, the appropriate inclination angle is about 25 to 30 degrees, and if the nozzle diameter is about 12 mm, the appropriate inclination angle is about 40 to 45 degrees.
In addition, when spraying ricin, the nozzle diameter is 6 mm.
If the angle of inclination is about 30 to 35 degrees, it is appropriate.
If the nozzle diameter is about 10 mm, 40 to 45 degrees is appropriate. Further, it is desirable that the inner circumferential wall of the pipe 11 be formed so as to be inclined so that the diameter thereof gradually decreases with respect to the direction in which the paint is discharged, and the appropriate angle is usually 5 to 30 degrees.

The inside of the pipe 11 is divided by a partition wall 15 into a plurality of paint passages (three in the drawing), and a different paint is supplied under pressure from each joint 13 to each paint passage. Note that the partition wall 15 can be detachably attached to the pipe 11 so that the cross-sectional area of each paint passage on the inner surface of the pipe 11 can be arbitrarily changed according to the mixing ratio of each paint.
is inserted into the inner surface of the Further, a lid 16 is removably fitted to the rear end of the pipe 11, so that work can be performed from the rear end of the pipe 11 when cleaning the inside of the pipe 11 or replacing the partition wall 15.

On the other hand, the cap 12 is removably fitted to the tip of the pipe 11, for example, by screws (a male thread 17 provided on the pipe 11 and a female thread 18 provided on the cap 12). Further, an opening 19 is provided in the center of the cap 12 for passage of the discharged paint.

is formed. A means for feeding air for spraying paint into this gap 21, such as an air hose 22, is connected to the outer circumferential wall of the cap 12. Note that the air hose 22 may be connected to the outer circumferential wall of the pipe 11 instead of to the outer circumferential wall of the cap 12 or together with it.
The gap 21 may be formed over the entire surface of the circumferential wall, but as shown in FIGS. ) may be formed by forming a plurality of grooves 23 and bringing the other outer peripheral wall portion into close contact with the cap 12. Similarly, a plurality of grooves of appropriate dimensions may be formed in the inner circumferential wall 20 of the cap 12, and the remaining inner circumferential wall portions may be brought into close contact with the pipe 11, thereby forming the gap 21 only in the groove portions. Moreover, it goes without saying that both may be combined.

The spray gun of the present invention has the grooves as described above. When in use, each paint is supplied to each paint passage of the pipe 11 at a constant pressure, and when air is sent into the gap 21 from the air hose 22, each paint mixes with the air at the opening 19 and is immediately sprayed. As a result, a multi-colored paint film with a three-dimensional effect can be obtained. In addition, the outer peripheral wall 1 of the tip portion of the pipe 11
4 and the degree of inclination of the inner peripheral wall 20 of the cap 12 can be determined as appropriate depending on the type of paint, the amount of coating, the coating pattern, and other conditions. According to the spray gun of this invention, air is mixed with each paint for the first time at the opening and is immediately injected, so the paint hardens in the pipe and does not become clogged, allowing continuous use of any paint. The coating pattern does not change even when spray painting with a high spray amount.
